Foreshadowing

Chapter 9: Game on

I'm not sure if there is any trigger warnings, but there could be like violence and stuff so yeah:)

Dream was dripping with sweat and panting. He looked to the left of him to see George wasn't in his bed, he quickly shot up and ran downstairs to see a note on the kitchen counter that read 'I've gone home for the weekend, I haven't see my parents in a while, I'll be home soon - George x'

Dream's heart rate quickly came back down as he let out a sigh of relief. He must've just had a bad dream. He walked back up to his room, grabbing some clothes and a towel, then walked back downstairs into the bathroom. He quickly undressed and got into the shower.

A few minutes passed Dream had gotten out of the shower and changed, he was drying his hair with a towel when he saw his phone ringing 'Unknown number' he wasn't sure who it was but he picked it up anyways.

"Hello?" Dream said in a confused tone. "Is this Dream?" A woman asked in a concerned voice. "Yes it is, who is this?" Dream asked. "I am George's mum. I am aware that George had been staying with you for some time. He had rung me at 6am informing me that he was in his way to my house, and well he hasn't arrived..it should've only been an hours drive." She stuttered as she spoke, Dream's heart started racing again, he pulled the phone from his ear to check the time. '10:49am' That caused Dream to panic even more, It had almost been 5 hours..where was he?

"I will try and call him. I'll call you straight back." He said before hanging up the phone and quickly dialling George's number. It felt like it was ringing for minutes, however it was a matter of seconds. Suddenly the phone picked up. "George where are you? Your mum is freaking out what the he-" He was quickly cut off. "Help me Dream." It was George, he spoke in not even a whisper. Like he was in pain. "George what? Where are you?" Dream's voice was shaky. He heard shuffling before a different voice came on the phone. "Hello Dream." It took him a few seconds to understand who it was. "Alex." he heard a little chuckle from the other end of the phone "Correct." Dream was practically screaming "Where is George? I swear to god if you lay a hand on him-" He was cut off again. "You'll do what? You have no idea where we are. I told you Dream..that was only the beginning." Dream then heard what sounded to be someone getting kicked, his assumption was backed up when he heard the sound of a cry escape George's mouth along with him begging for Alex to stop.

"Alex. Please I will do anything. Just don't hurt him." Dream begged, he didn't care how desperate he sounded. "The thing is Dream. This is exactly what I want. I want to hurt you. Destroy you the way you destroyed me. My brother died because of you. It should've been you that died. and now I'm getting revenge by torturing the only thing you ever truly loved." Dream's heart shattered "Then kill me. If i was supposed to die, then let George go and kill me." Dream quickly replied. "No. That'd be too kind on you. You'd rather me kill you, then kill your little Georgie." He wasn't wrong. "But i'd like to see your face when I do kill him."

Alex had given Dream the location of George. Dream was already on his way, he didn't care how over the speed limit he was. He had to get to George. He was still around 2 hours away from the location when he started getting a phone call, he didn't want to answer it but it could've been important, so he grabbed his phone and placed it to his ear. "Hello?"

"Hey Dream, It's Sapnap, George's mum rang us, what's going on," Sapnap sounded worried. "Don't worry about it Sapnap I'm dealing with it." Dream replied. "Well we are all here now, so you may aswell come and pick us up." We? What was he talking about.

"Sapnap what are you talking about" Dream was in a rush. He didn't need this right now. "Me and Bad are here. Bad flew into Florida." This really isn't what he needed, it was too dangerous for them.

Dream explained everything to Sapnap and Bad as he was still driving to the location of George. He explained the risk, but they both wanted to help. Dream had told them everything, who Alex was, who Dream really was. He explained that he was on his way, so Bad and Sapnap started driving in a separate car to the same place.

A few hours passed and Dream finally arrived at the location. It was a forest, in the middle of no where. He quickly saw two figures emerge from the trees, It was Bad and Sapnap, they must have been closer then Dream was.

Dream quickly got out the car and walked over to Bad and Sapnap. "You guys really shouldn't have come. You don't know what Alex is like." Dream explained. "Well we are here now. Come on Dream if he's really as dangerous as you say then we need to go find George. Now."

The three started to walk through the woods. Alex didn't give Dream an exact place, he just gave him the area. It was eerie. Complete darkness and complete silence, you could hear the leaves crunch and the twigs snap as they all were walking. Sapnap looked over to Dream who was very clearly panicking. "We are going to find him Dream." Sapnap said reassuringly. "Yeah and how do you kno-" He was quickly cut off by a loud yell. It was George. Dream immediately started to run leaving Sapnap and Bad behind.

As he grew close to where the sound was heard, he saw a figure. It was George. He was just laying flat on the ground.
