REYNA

I feel so terrible, leaving my parents. I've never left them or my pack before.

I hope they've gotten my letter already. And I hope they forgive me.

Leaving the pack was really easy. I just had to tell the pack guards that I was going to neutral grounds to see some of my human friends and they let me go. I smiled at my victory.

But it left my face when I thought of my childhood best friend, Rita. She would be so devastated that I left her without saying goodbye.
When I meet her again I'm going to give her the biggest hug and apologize as many times as I can.

Since leaving the pack I've become an official rogue. The thought frightened me, because it has been known the rogues, especially female rogues, don't last long in the wild. But I wasn't just a normal female wolf, I was a female with alpha blood in her, so I think I would be just fine.

The thought of going to the neutral grounds and living with humans and living like them got me excited. I would start a new life away from everybody. I would be my own woman. The thought of being alone without my parents by my side was terrifying though, but I would be fine.

Then I thought of my mate. I always wanted a mate. But, I was terrified of this man being my mate. He was terrifying.

"Why don't you just give him a chance?" My wolf, Sage, asked me.

"I would but I'm scared, Sage."

"You know no matter how terrifying and scary a wolf could be, he or she would never be able to harm their mate."

"He's no normal wolf. He's the king. And don't act like you don't know the destruction he has done single-handedly."

She just sighed.

"And I can't think of me ruling all the wolves in every pack beside him."

"Reyna, you were born to rule. If you weren't mated to Giovanni you would have been mated to someone of a high status. I know it's terrifying, but I would be with you every step of the way. "

"Thanks, Sage. I'm glad I have you with me." I said feeling better that I have Sage with me.

"Me too. Reyna."

It was getting dark and I had to set a camp to sleep in tonight then I would wake up tomorrow and continue my journey.

I found a spot under a tree and a small pond close to the place I would stay. I set my tent and got in. I laid down on the ground and tried to fall asleep.

As I closed my eyes, I heard a stick snapping. I opened my eyes in fear, then brushed it off that I was being paranoid.

I tried sleeping back. I heard movement outside of my tent. Sage started feeling anxious. I sat up knowing that I had to be careful.

"Sage? What's wrong?" I asked.

"I feel like someone is watching us." I didn't detect fear in her voice, instead I detected joy?
But I didn't think much about it and started packing things.

I got outside and took a peep. No one was around.

So I got back in the tent and carried the packed bag and got out. I looked at the tent thinking if I  should pack it or not. I shook my head and said I didn't need it.

I turned back to start my journey. I saw a man in front of me and screamed, falling to the ground. I couldn't see him clearly because of how dark it was.

He squatted in front of me. As he did, the moon shone on his face making me see his face clearer.

He was beautiful. With his curly dark hair with some strands coming to his eyes, his stunning green eyes and plump pink lips. But something about his beauty screamed danger.

What he said struck my heart with fear. "Where are you going to, little mate?"

My eyes widened and my breathing quickened.

"M-m-mate?" I stuttered, crawling back slowly.

"Yes, mate. You knew I was coming, yet you still ran." He spoke, oddly calm. "Why?"

"I-I-I..." Damn it! Why was I acting like stuttering fool in front of him?

"You didn't think I was going to find you, right? Even if you left this state or country, I would have found you. And now I've got you, I'm not letting you out of my sight."

I got up, suddenly angry. "N-n-no. You can't do that. I have a life, family, friends. You can't just take me away from all of them because you're my mate?"

"Oh. She speaks well." He said, more to himself than me. "Yes, you do have a life, one with me in it. And I was waiting patiently for years for you and I don't think I can wait anymore."

"Don't think I won't find a way to run. I will run and... " His hand shot out and grabbed my neck.

"Don't ever think of running away ever again. I was thinking I would let you go and forgive you but now I would give you a punishment you would never forget." He said angrily. I was scared of the look in his eyes.

He grabbed my arm and started dragging me to God knows where.

"Where are you taking me to?" I asked trying to remove his iron his from my arm, but it was futile.

"To our new home, cara mia." He said smiling at me. The smile did nothing to calm me. (My dear)

"No. Please don't take me anywhere."

He sighed like I was a burden. He turned to me and said, "Dormi per quando ti sveglierai sarai nella tua nuova casa." (Sleep for when you wake up you'll be in your new home.)

I suddenly felt sleepy. "What did you do to me?" was the last thing I said before I succumbed to the sleep.
