Chapter 4

I was running and running. Away from him. I was panting heavily as I continued to run. My hair loosened from the rubberband I packed it in, making it fly all around.

I came to a stop behind a tree, when I didn't hear him behind me anymore, trying to catch my breath.

When my breathing became somewhat normal I looked around. "He couldn't have just let me go, could he?" I thought.

I turned around to see if I had lost track of him. I didn't see any of anyone behind me. He was a freaking lycan! How could he have lost me?

"He really lost me!" I was so ecstatic. I turned back to continue my journey. Only for me to bump into a hard chest. Which made me lose my footing and I almost fell on my ass, before his arm curled around my waist so I couldn't fall.

He lifted my chin so I could look him in the eyes. My eyes slowly rose to meet his green eyes.
He slowly smirked when he saw the fear in my eyes. "You thought you could run from me? How cute."

I woke up with a start, then gasped when I saw the room I was in. It was really beautiful. I was on a very soft king-sized bed with a dark green comforter. The windows covered with curtains the same color as the comforter.

By my left were two doors that probably led to the bathroom and, maybe, the walk in closet.

The lights were so dim that I didn't notice someone sitting on the armchair in the corner, watching me.

My heart began beating so fast when I recognised who the figure was.

He stood to his full height and with a smirk, he walked towards me.

As he came closer, I started moving to the other side of the bed. His smirk grew wider as he noticed this.

As I was at the edge and about to run, he grabbed me and pushed me so my back was on the bed. Then, he loomed over me.

He brushed my hair behind my ear and slowly leaned in. By this time, my heart was already threatening to break my ribs. He gently nipped at my ear, then he rose slightly, at least so that I could see his face.

His expression suddenly turned sad. "Why must your run? You hurt my feelings." He said in his, I can't describe it but, it makes me feel all warm inside, deep voice. Then, he slowly grinned. "Why try when I would catch you?"

"Then just let me be, you wouldn't have to worry about looking for me that way."

His stunning green eyes scanned my face as if to uncover any secret. "No can do, mate." He whispered against my lips before he pressed his against mine in a kiss.

As I resisted kissing back, he bit my lip, not enough to draw blood, making me gasp. He slid his tongue in causing us both to moan.

My hands moved to his hair and I marvelled at the soft silky strands. He pressed my body closer to his, if that was even possible.

His lips left mine to pepper little kisses from my chin to my neck, where he bit making me moan embarrassingly loud.

When he lifted his head and looked into my eyes, I returned to my senses. I pushed him off of me to get up, which made him chuckle.

"The bathroom is through that door." He said pointing to the door by the left. "Freshen up and come downstairs."

He was walking to the door, when he stopped and turned. "And please don't try escaping through the window." He said, closing the door.

I release a breath I didn't know I was holding when he closed the door.

I stood up from the bed and ran a hand through my hair. I walked to the said door he pointed at and was amazed by what I saw.

The bathroom was huge! Right in the middle of the room was a large bath tub that would probably fit 4 people. I walked to the mirror and looked at myself.

My face was flushed and my eyes wide. I glanced at my clothes, only to realize I was in a large shirt and shorts.

"He changed my clothes?!" I exclaimed.

"You probably looked like shit anyway." My wolf stirred from her sleep to say.

"W-well yeah." I sputtered. "He had no right!"

"Well, technically he does. He's our mate." She mumbled.

"Who's side are you on anyway?"

"I'm just saying. Hurry up. I'm starving."

My stomach growled loudly at the thought of food. Seeing as I had not eaten.

I quickly brushed my teeth and splashed water on my face.

I left the bathroom and walked to the mirror on.

I took a look at myself and decided to pack my hair up.

I exhaled and walked out of the room.
