Empty rooms and conversations

Being alone is better when I'm truly alone

When the house is empty and the streets are silent

but it's the emptiness that overwhelms me 

when I'm sitting in a room full of people

and I'm watching them through a camera

enjoying life without me

as i sit next to them

so when I say i prefer to be alone

It's not because I'm lonely 

But because an empty room stays still in time with me
