I was watching re-runs of Thats So Raven and eating smarties when my mother walked through the front door carrying large boxes of pizza, looking exhausted. When she spotted me she lifted her chin slightly and walked through to the kitchen.

Typical

"I got you your favourite," She shouted through, I sighed and shook my head. Pausing the TV I trudged to the kitchen, not bothering to brush the crums from my jumper. When I entered the room my mother stared at me, looking me up and down. I shifted uncomfortably and looked at her with an eyebrow raised.

"What's with you?" I frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"Have you even brushed your hair today? This week?"

Owch

"Whatever, I have work to do." She sneered walking away. I shook my head and brushed away the tears that were threatening to spill from my eyes, taking the pizza box I returned to my spot on the sofa and pressed play.

"You should totally wear that! He'll go crazy," Tally winked from behind me. I grinned and turned around to look at my butt.

"Do'ya think?" Tally rolled her eyes and giggled as I slid the dress off and wrapped my white kimono around my body.

"Definitely hun!" I smiled and picked it up from the floor, making my decision.

"Then it's settled, I'll wear it,"

"You'll definitely get some wearing that smoking thing. It's about bloody time!" Tally smirked from her spot on the bed. I gasped and slapped her arm.

"Tally! I was waiting for the right guy. You know that," I shrieked in horror hanging the dress up, then sat down beside my best friend.

"Yeah yeah, whatever," She sighed, flicking through the current edtion of vogue. I watched her and sighed.

"Do you really think he's the one?"  She questioned, her eyes flicking from the photo of Kate Moss to me. I nodded.

"I think so."

My eyes fluttered open.

I returned to reality and sighed. Switching off the TV, I grabbed my ipod from the coffee table infront of me and put in my earphones. Flicking through my selection of music, I scrolled to Robert Pattinson and selected Stray Dog- my absolute favourite song. The guitar started and then his raspy, imperfect voice filled my ears. I hummed along and shut my eyes, cuddling into the couch pillows.

"Do you want me to pick you up or are you going with Tally?" He asked me, stroking my cheek with his thumb. I bit my lip and nodded, looking around the corridor.

"I guess you could take me," He grinned and pecked my nose. My stomach was doing backflips as we stood in the hallways, against my locker.

"I could do that,"

"I think I'm ready," I mumbled, I felt my cheeks heat up- turning bright red. Embarassed, I hid my face in his chest.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel pressured into something that you don't want to do," I lifted my head up and stared at him.

"I'm sure," He grinned and pecked my cheek, engulfing me in a tight bear like hug. I giggled and hugged him back, as tight as I could.

"I lov-"

"Will you guys stop with the PDA? There's innocent young first years around." Tally groaned, interrupting us. I glared at her and pecked him on the lips.

"See you tonight?" I asked, taking my bag from hs hand. He smiled and nodded.

"Tonight," I waved goodbye and walked to the exit, with Tally in tow.

"Tonight." I whispered, my hands shaking.

Tonight would be the night.
