I leave and go down the small, hidden flight of stairs to the training rooms. I walk over to the platform of water, similar to the one I had performed on, only hours before. I walk across it, and start practicing.

I had just started working on the new trick I had been practicing when a burst of static came through the earpiece. We always wore them, just to be sure nothing bad catches us from behind. Belle, an Air, was on patrol today, and I quickly listened to see if she found something. But instead of her usual high voice, a hoarse, deep male voice came through. "This is war, little Elementals. We found your friend, and she already told us enough of what we need to know. We're calling war on you, after you blew up our headquarters. We may be dwindling, but we still number three times as much as you do. We're coming, and repaying the favor you did to us. Goodbye."

I stand in shock. They were coming. They knew who we were, and where to find us. We need to hide. I race up the stairs, and with a wave of my hand, the water followed me. I let out a shrill whistle, and the others came. "They have Belle. They're going to attack us. We need to hide." I tell them, panicked. I think for a moment. "Follow me."

"Oh, yeah? That isn't going to happen. What if you're going to kill all of us?" Blake asks. I glare at him.

"Look. When have I ever done anything to hurt the Guild. This place is more my home than anyone else's! So if you want to stay, fine. Don't expect me to come to save you when you're screaming while this place burns to the ground." I retort, finally fed up with him. Normally I could put up with him, but today wasn't normal. We were running for our lives, and I was finally done with dealing with him. Even though anger was still surging through me, I push it down for the sake of the others. I take a few deep breaths to calm myself down and face everyone else, momentarily feeling fear replace the blood in my veins. "Grab whatever you can. If you can't carry it, can't take it. We have five minutes."

"How do you know this?" someone asks. I turn, incredulous.

"Was I the only one wearing the earpieces? What was left of the Guard has Belle and is going to attack us! Get into the car I have in the warehouse. If you can fly, fly, and try to take someone with you. There isn't an infinite amount of room. Now go!" I finish.

We race to our rooms, and grab a few personal belongings. I found a bag, and shoved my clothes, mask, and the things my parents left me. I was done, and with only two minutes to spare. I run into the hall, and gather the water that I left suspended in the main hall. I quickly made a landing pad, and jumped. Everyone who was coming followed, or helped the stragglers. Blake still stubbornly wanted to stay behind, but I couldn't care less. My only thoughts were to get the other twelve people out of the building.I lead them to the vehicle, and we clamber in. It was a little tight, but the one Air who was left, a guy named Flynn, had taken two people to fly above us. It didn't stop the nerves that were jumping up and down in my stomach, though. Adrenaline, panic, and trying to get everyone out was the only thing keeping me moving, or I would be frozen. Of fear or panic, I can't be sure. I leave the water as a clear barricade to the building, hoping it might slow the attack down a little.

Racing over the streets out of town, I managed to get out of the city before the explosion sent our home up in flames. I see the fire licking the sky in the rear view mirror. A jolt of sadness raced through me. Sadness and something else. Fear. I was afraid. Where would we stay now? What would happen? Even though the guy over the earpiece might have been bluffing, but it didn't seem likely. The Guard still probably outnumber us three to one, if not more.

I clear my thoughts as I slam the gas. We were running out of fuel, and none of us are really sure where we are anymore. I wasn't the only one feeling fearful.
