Chapter Five.
Meridas P.O.V.
I felt a light beam on to my back and burn my skin, so I tired to move out of the way but bumped into a much larger figure. I opened my eyes and found Hiccup laying down next to me, shirtless. 'Oh my god he is shirtless! wait... i'm shirtless, why am I shirtless!' Then moments of last night flooded back into my mind, I face palmed and snuck out of the bed and grabbed the dress from the dresser and ran into my guest room. I quietly shut the door and leaned against it and struggled for air from my fast movement, I pushed my body off the door and slipped on the dress I made yesterday and pulled out another thing from the closest.I made a similar coat like outerwear and pulled it over my arms, it didn't touch the floor like my dress does but it covers my back and arms and chest. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth, after rinsing my mouth I stared into the weird mirror. My hair was still drenched and my my lips hand their original color back, I sighed and left the bathroom. I grabbed my bow and a few arrows and exited the guest room as well. "huf." I breathed when I bumped into another figure, I rubbed my head and hoped it wasn't Hiccup. But I knew it wasn't because this figure was more slender and felt weaken, I slowly looked up and saw a female I front if me and she smiled. "I am so sorry." I apologized and and stood to my feet.
"Oh no it's quiet alright." She spoke in accent that was similar to my own but seem deeper and like the over pronounced each letter. "I was just going to get Hiccup, but who might you be darl'in?" She asked kindly with a warm smile, I returned the smile and spoke.
"I'm Princess Merida of Dunbroch." I said bowing slightly, she gasped and nodded.
"So you're the one Hiccup had brought along, you know the towns people wouldn't stop raving on about you two." She added walking away. "The meeting is at high noon, when the sun is at it's peak come back here and we'll all head over to the meet'in." She added leading down a long hallway but I didn't follow, instead I walked out of his home and into the middle of town. People gave me weird glances and funny-flirty looks so I turned around and headed down a back road that was behind a house. Thankfully no one had followed me, but I heard an awkward thunk sound and decided to find out what it was. I walked into a forest covered in moss like a carpet with long trees and curved sometimes but others stood tall. I heard a soft whimper and rushed to follow it, I clamped my mouth shut when I saw two large men holding Astrid against a tree.
"Look! I gave you what you want, I got Hiccup to leave me. But now it's your turn, so turn around and stay away from me." She said attempting to peal their fingers off of her body. They laughed and slung her over against another tree and held up her body.
"We want you dearest." she opened her mouth to scream but they covered it and this got me boiling mad, I drew an arrow and was ready to release if necessary.
"Aye! Why don'cha leave her alone!" I shouted stopping them from their attack. They laughed and dropped Astrid who gasped for air on the floor.
"And what are going to do about it?" the more fit one retorted. "Shot us with that dainty arrow of yours." they both laughed.
"Wrong move." I muttered, I aimed for his shoulder since I didn't want to kill them, I released the bow and I got him straight in the shoulder and it broke through his bone making him scream out in agony. I drew another arrow and shot the thicker one in his leg as he gasped at the pain as it went threw his leg, I walked over and hit both of then on the head with my bow and walked over to Astrid who was red on her cheeks and lips turned pinkish. She honestly looked really cute and I couldn't help but blush myself as I helped her to my feet. "Are yo' ok'y Astrid?" I asked afraid to upset her, she pushed a strand of her soft blonde hair behind her ear and nodded. "Good. Now why the heck were yo' out there alone talk'en to them?!" I was furious at her for being stupid in the first place and for them for trying anything. As long as I am around no one is getting hurt.
"Whoa calm down Merida, Why do you even care?" She asked dusting off her shirts thing then looking up at me. Her soft blue eyes looked up at me and stared into my soul as if they held an answer for her her, she flushed and looked down and I stuttered while talking.
"Be-because I care tha's why." I said talking hold of her hand and staggered her out of the moss covered forest, I must of made a wrong turn because now we're lost in the middle of nowhere and now the sun was beginning to rise. "Yo' know how to get us out righ'?" I asked in high hopes.
"Yes... and no." She said looking around, she gulped and scratched the back of head. "I've never actually been this far into the forest... b-but why wouldn't you go the way you came?" Astrid asked looking around the forest grounds, it was no longer covers in moss but now it was covered in muck and mildew. I gulped and laughed nervously, 'oh no the meeting!' "Hey isn't that meeting today?" Astrid asked when something rustled in the bushes.
"Wha' the hell is tha'!"
