Madi's POV:
I walk into the kitchen and see my dad at the kitchen counter on top of Eva getting ready to hit her. I drop my soccer bag. I ran as fast as I could so he wouldn't be able to hit her. I tackled my dad off of her. Eva fell to the floor holding her neck bc she was being choked by our dad.
"DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING TOUCH HER" I yell at him while pinning him on the ground
"GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME YOU LITTLE F*G"he yells back. At this point I was filled with anger and hatred. I punched his in the face as hard as I could.
"Eva call Conner and go pack a bag that will last you a couple days" I say while getting off of our dad.
"Why, Mads where are we going to go"she asked while grabbing her phone and calling Conner
"I have a place we can go for a couple nights but then we will come back here to get the rest of our stuff, but for now call Conner and tell him what happened. Go pack a bag and get in your car. Wait for me then follow me in my car. Ok?" I say while grabbing my phone and wallet and walking upstairs with her walking up behind me
"Ok but can't we just pack all of our stuff now. I don't really want to come back here"she says walking into our bedroom that we've shared ever since we moved into this house
"Ya I guess but just try and pack in less than an hour, I can't really be here any longer or I might as well kill him" I say referencing to our dead beat dad that was passed out drunk downstairs
"Ya ok I'll try, oh and I'll called Conner and told him what happened he said that if we needed a place to stay his house was always open"she says packing her clothes up in the suitcases
"Ok" I said oust all my shoes in boxes, and all my clothes in my suitcases
(Time skip to when there done packing all their stuff)
I was done packing all of my stuff and it was all in the truck of my jeep except for a couple boxes of shoes. Eva still had some suitcases to put into her car. I went upstairs to our room to grab the last of my shoes. I saw Eva struggling to carry her suitcases so I chuckled a bit.
"Are just going to laugh at me or are you going to help me"she said glaring at me
"I think I'll just laugh at you" I said. But then I grabbed her suitcase and carried it downstairs along with her other ones. She thanked me and went out the door to put them in her car.
I grabbed my shoes and went out the door and put them in my car. Then Eva came out of the garage door.
"Can you help me find the remote to the garage doors"she asked
"Ya sure but it's probably just on the counter in the kitchen if you go inside" I said. She left to go check if it was there. She later came out side.
"Did you find it?" I asked
"Ya it was exactly where you said it would be"
"Told you!"
"Ya ya don't flatter yourself"
"Ok let's go, I booked a hotel for a couple days" I said while she got in her car to follow me. Soon after I got in my car and pulled out of the drive way Katie called me.
(Call with Katie)
"Hey, madi is everything alright"
"Ya, why do ask"
"Bc my mom just said that when she got home from work it looked like you and Eva were putting boxes and suitcases into your cars"
"Oh uh long story short, I came home from practice and my dad was about to hit Eva so I got him off of her and now we're going to a hotel and we moved out" I said stopping at a red light. Eva drove right up next to me and motioned me to roll down my window.
"Well is Eva in the car with you" Katie asked
"No she's in her own car but she just pulled up right next to me"
"WHO ARE YOU ON THE PHONE WITH?" Eva yelled out of her car
"KATIE CALL YO SEE IF EVERYTHING WAS OK"I yelled back. She gave me the thumbs up.
(Time skip to at the hotel)
"Just grab a suitcase, then tomorrow we can bring everything else in I said to Eva after she got out of her car.
"Ok , but don't we start school tomorrow?"She said grabbing a suitcase and locking her car
"Ya but we do online school remember"I said (Covid doesn't exist but they still do online for the sake of the story)
"When we get in the hotel room we have to make some TikTok bc Casey(their manager) said we needed to post today" she said
"That's fine by me........"
