The airship was small and crowded, but to the Scout's sacrificing some elbow room to let a native Marlyean on board ( Especially one willing to provide information) was more than acceptable. Yelena and the other Marleyan's who had joined their forces years ago had provided tremendous amounts of information, but a girl who had known Zeke Jaeger her entire life was valuable. The crowds thinned the closer the cockpit was and Liesl stood in the hallway leading to where the pilot was, a rickety wooden chair was propped up against the wall and three figures stood in front of her with tired eyes that have seen horrors unknown to many.

"This is Liesl, she asked to come on board to offer some information," A younger man with tan skin and stubble on his chin muttered, "If she doesn't talk just push her off the airship."

"Thank you Jean." Said the women with curly hair that was pulled back in to a ponytail, giving him a curt nod and signaling that he should head back and rejoin with the others.

The women's comrades who stood on either side of her stood out against some of the other cadets she had saw during the chaos. On her right was a short man with icy colored eyes and dark hair that fell across his face, and on her left was a women with an eye patch and messy auburn hair. Although the three of them couldn't of been any different, the one thing that they had in common was the glare they all held on Liesl's face as she took a seat in the wooden chair.

"You heard the man, start talking or eat pavement." The short man grunted, his scowl stayed despite the movement of his frowning lips.

Liesl swallowed the lump in her throat, she knew now was not the time to get emotional, however with the image of Zeke's bloody body getting pulled from his titan imprinted in her memory masking her emotions was harder then expected.

"I want to help your cause." Liesl whispered staring at her hands.

"Why," The women with the eye patch knelt down and looked up at Liesl, "why do you want to help us Liesl?"

The silence from that bit back at the three soldiers only increased the tension, but she couldn't think of an answer to give. Liesl had blamed the war for her suffering, but as time moved on she slowly realized that war doesn't change anything, it's the people fighting that makes all the difference. She knew the second that the Founding Titan appeared and wrecked her city that if she stayed one more day turning a blind eye to what was happening outside, she would be nothing more than a bird with clipped wings and a broken heart.

"I'm an Eldian who lives in Marley, my life has been nothing but one disadvantage to the next." Liesl grimaced but received no sympathy from the man in front of her.

"Fantastic, unfortunately none of us are interested in a sob story. We have enough suffering on our end to listen to any of yours." The man then turned toward the women with the wavy hair and then back toward Liesl, "throw her off now."

"No wait!" Liesl stood from her chair, which caused the man to reach for the swords that hung in gear around his waist. "You can ask any of your comrades out there I was the one to tell them where the artillery was, and where to go to avoid the garrison! I helped your stupid group of soldiers! Now if you want any information on Zeke Jaeger you'll have to give me a goddamn minute!"

Her outburst didn't disrupt the white noise of soldiers chanting in the background, but it did leave the two women in front of her completely silent. The short man rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue, and then without a goodbye walked down the hallway away from his comrades.

"Levi—"

"Hanji let him go, he's not exactly built for prolonged conversations like this...especially not now."
