Title: War and Independence
{Y/n}'s Point of View:

. I tightened the thin rope around the sharp arrowhead once more. Another arrow had been made. Placing the arrow in the wicker basket with the others, I grabbed another stick and arrowhead and began putting them together. Dad and I had been working nonstop together all morning. We were making bow and arrows to help with the upcoming war. "How many more should we make?" I asked. We had two baskets of arrows and Dad had skillfully crafted two strong bows.

. "I think we should finish this basket and that should be enough." He answered. "Got it." I replied, continuing to carefully make the arrows. We both had splinters in our fingers from working with the thin rope, but they didn't hurt too bad. "Why do you think Dream is how he is? What does he have against us? Why are we the ones having to live in fear?" I pondered. Dad sighed. "Greed. He doesn't like the idea of a nation being established in what used to be his land." He explained.

. "Still.. It's unfair that we have to go through these struggles." I said. "Well... Most of the time, nothing is exactly fair. Especially not in this world and in this part of history." He replied. "I know you're still scared, but we'll get out of this together and we will get our independence one way or another." Dad stated firmly, wrapping rope around the arrow he was making. "I really do hope so." I mumbled, continuing to craft. We kept working in silence until we finished out the basket of arrows. Now, we had three baskets of arrows and two bows.

. "Since we're done, can we go pick more flowers and make flower crowns again?" I asked, wanting to bring a little bit of light to our dark situation. Dad smiled at this. "Of course. Let's do it." He agreed. We walked outside together and found a patch of flowers nearby. We sat in the ground together and began to pick the best flowers. Dad taught me how to weave them together into a beautiful flower crown. Together, we weaved one big flower crown. "It looks like it's fit for a king." I giggled, which Dad joined in. "It does, doesn't it?" He agreed happily.

. It felt good to be able to spend time with my Dad and see him smile again. We sat and spoke about wholesome topics for about thirty minutes until he heard someone at L'Manburg's gate. I looked over my shoulder to see Grandpa Wil and Tommy standing their guard in front of.... Dream. "What do you want?" Tommy snapped at the man in the green jacket. He was the one who started the fire not long ago. His smiling mask seemed to taunt us on our side of the wall. I found myself sliding closer to my Dad; where I felt safer. Dream began to speak.

. "Tommy, and Wilbur, and the rest of L'Man-child-burg, we are at war. There is no mercy. We have burnt down Tubbo's house. We have planted TNT cannons around your land. We have cobblestone walled the outside, and we have shot one warning shot inside your walls. We have no mercy! No mercy for you! We will burn down your houses, we will kill everything inside your walls, and will take back the land that is rightfully ours. If you do not surrender. I wanna see WHITE FLAGS. WHITE FLAGS outside your base BY TOMORROW, AT DAWN, or you are DEAD!!!!!!" Dream heavily threatened.

. After he gave his speech he left the gate. "Wait- He burned down Tubbo's house!?" I shouted. Dad nodded. "It happened during the night. He's staying with Tommy until we gather enough resources to restore it." He explained. "T-That's horrible! Tubbo doesn't deserve that at all! Where is he?!" I said frantically, scrambling to my feet. "Probably in the van, Tommy's house, or the small base you all have." He suggested. "I'll be back soon. I'm going to go check on him." I said, putting the finished flower crown on his head and rushing away.

. I went to the first place that came to mind, which was the base. I quickly traveled there and opened the door. There was Tubbo, sitting on the bed and staring off at the wall in a daze. "T-Tubbo? Are you okay? What happened?" I asked worriedly. He shook his head as he came back down to Earth and looked at me. "Oh! Hey {Y/n}. Dream burned my house down... but I'm okay. I've just been in here for a while." He explained. "I'm so sorry this happened to you- I could've helped to put it out or something!" I said. "It's not your fault!" He laughed. "And there was nothing we could've done anyway." He replied.
