"Isabella, wonderful to see you again," he murmured, his deep, silky voice sending a shiver down my back. How did I not notice his voice before?
He smirked, as if he could tell how his presence affected me, his dimples appearing beside his lips and causing heat to radiate throughout my body. "I thought it would be much more difficult to find you."
I drank him in, his tall, muscled frame begging me to touch, his short locks of hair begging me to run through with my fingers. I could almost feel his fingers tracing their way down my back as his lips pressed hungrily against mine.
"Bella!" Tia exclaimed, breaking through the lust that had taken over my mind. "I'm sorry, I swear she isn't always like this."
I looked at the guy, noticing the clenched fists he seemed desperate to hide. "Why are you here?" I asked, voice shaky. "How did you even find me? I thought Group was anonymous!" I may have been moderately rude, but I did make very valid points.
"A great hostess, I see. First, let me properly introduce myself. My name is Christopher Caro. I found you quite easily actually, your crime has made you very well known among Supernaturals. Caught in the act of murdering seven men for the sake of a young girl? You are a quite the infamous vampire. Also, Ralf told me your address after Group, which is not anonymous, by the way." Christopher's voice had a slight Italian accent, and I felt my slow beating heart speed up. "As to why I am here, I wanted to apologize. I feel as if we might have gotten off on the wrong foot. I meant no harm when I spoke your thoughts aloud, but I see why that would anger you. You must feel as if I invaded your privacy, and I am very sorry for that," he said, voice apologetic."It's fine," I stammered, my cheeks burning in embarrassment. "So nice of you to stop by, but I'm leaving so you need to leave too."
Tia gasped, probably apologized for what I said to Christopher, but I was already gone and standing in the alleyway that hid Full Moon.
Full Moon was the best Supernatural Only club around, and one of my absolute favorite places to spend my nights. There is no better feeling then when I lose myself to the music, letting it take over my whole being.
I leaned against the alleyway wall, trying to clear the unending thoughts racing through my mind before I stepped into Full Moon.
I wasn't surprised Christopher knew what I had done, it was big news in the Supernatural community because of how I'd almost revealed our existence to the entire human population.
In my defense, the men were all little perverts who were harassing a young girl. I might have let my rage take total control of me, which is how a couple of kids were able to catch me on camera as I was murdering the men. I'd do it all again though, if I had the chance to go back in time. I heard the seven guy’s thoughts, I felt their intentions. That little girl wouldn't have escaped the interaction unharmed, she might not have even escaped it alive.
"You can't escape me that easily."
Christopher's voice appeared before he did, and I couldn't stop myself from whipping around with my fangs bared as I braced for an attack. "Calm down, Isabella! It is me! Christopher! Your friend Tia told me that you would be here," he exclaimed, hands up as if they could protect him from me.
I exhaled every ounce of fight within me, calming the boil in my blood. "You never sneak up on vampires, a fact that you should keep stored in your brain or you might end up dead. Now, tell me the hell you are following me!"
"I just wanted to talk, that is it. I am very sorry if I scared you, but all I want to do is speak to you, Isabella. Preferably somewhere quiet," Christopher replied, blue eyes softening as he shot me a smile.
I sighed, unable to resist those damn dimples. "I'm guessing Full Moon isn't what you're thinking about." Christopher shook his head, and I glanced sadly at the door glamoured to look like a wall that was the entrance to my favorite place.
"Not exactly," he said, dimples still in place. "But we could go to my place? It might not be as glamorous and blood fueled as Full Moon, but it is not too shabby of a home."
I rolled my eyes to hide the rush of heat throughout my body at Christopher mentioning his place. I needed to get my emotions in check, and fast. "Fine, your place it is then."
Christopher grabbed my hand, and before I could even think to contemplate what was happening, my body seemed to rip itself apart.
My mouth opened as if to scream, but nothing came out. The pain was unlike any other I'd ever been made to feel before in my long life, it was as if each molecule in my body was being shredded to nothing.
I knew only one thing, Christopher was killing me.
