Draco walked a bit taller through the halls than he had been the day before. He was happier than he had been in a while, but he was disappointed that he had no one to talk to about what had happened the night before. He couldn't believe that Harry liked him and it was even more crazy that Draco liked him back.
He was disappointed when he didn't see Harry in their first class, and got worried when he didn't show up for the rest. Draco made his way towards the library during dinner, hoping that Harry would be there.
Fortunately, he found him sitting on the same windowsill Draco sat on the day before.
"Hey you." Draco greeted him, sitting on the table close to him.
"Hey." He sighed.
Draco frowned. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." He quickly responded.
"Okay now that that's out of the way, what's wrong?"
"I feel so guilty, Draco. It's eating me alive. It's all my fault that everyone died." Harry buried his face in his knees. "It should have been me. Then maybe all those lives could have been spared."
"Don't say that Harry." Draco moved closer, slightly uncomfortable with the emotion. "It's not your fault."
He just nodded in response and looked up at Draco. He pushed Harry's hair back, loving how soft it felt between his fingers. The shorter boy's eyes looked scared and lonely, so Draco pulled him off the ledge and wrapped his arms around him. Harry returned the hug, and Draco felt his hands on his waist.
"Do you want to down to the lake with me?" Harry asked, his face buried in Draco's chest.
"Sure."
They let go of each other and walked out of the library, next to each other but not to close. There were a few people in the halls who were sending glares directly at Draco. He held his head lower, and only lived it when the two boys made it to the small beach. They laid down in the sand, now hand in hand, looking up at the dark sky.
"Harry?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think that we are going too fast?" Draco asked, keeping his eyes on the stars.
"No. I mean i've liked you for a while, so it's not weird for me. Do you think we are?" Harry said, now on his elbow and looking down at him.
"Not really. I've never been in a real relationship before so I guess i'm confused." He admitted.
"Relationship?" Harry raised an eyebrow suggestivley.
"Uh, I- I mean-"
"Will you be my boyfriend Draco?" Harry asked.
Draco froze. Boyfriend? They were definitely moving faster than they should have. But for a reason Draco couldn't even explain to himself, he accepted.
"Yes." He whispered.
Harry smiled, and Draco stared at his beautiful lips forming a warm smile in front of him. Harry flopped back down on the sand and looked back to the sky.
"Do you know anything about stars?"
"Actually yes. Why?"
"I don't know. I've always found them interesting but I didn't want to read about them."
Draco laughed. "Do you want me to tell you about them?" Harry nodded and Draco went on for an hour about different constellations and the history behind them. Draco was so happy he had someone to talk with, he didn't have any friends anymore and everyone else held a grudge against him. He wasn't sure why Harry didn't hate him as well, but he decided to make the most of the time he was going to spend with his new boyfriend before he figured out he could do so much better than Draco.
