CHAPTER 1

Kim Rok Soo always chooses to live a life according to his own will. He hates live a life arranged arbitrarily by others. Therefore, in this new life as Cale Henituse, he will do whatever he wants and make sure that his dream as a rich slacker can be achieve. But before that, Cale must pass through the great mountain that is already waiting for him. An endless and sickening war with White Star makes Cale unable to slack off. Strategy by strategy Cale use to defeat White Star. Cale body that originally is weak needs other people help to protect him. That's why Cale always take care of people under his wings. He hates it if someone mess with his people.

Cale friends and subordinates are very aware of Cale nature who is willing to sacrifice for them. Cale is a smart yet stupid person if it comes about his own health. He always feigned ignorance and just brush it off when he is injured or in pain. Of Course, Cale always denied this statement and think that his life is the most important. But contrary to his words, Cale always put his self in danger. Cale himself always think that his pain and injuries is not comparable with his past life as Kim Rok Soo, especially when he has Vitality of Heart ancient power. The power makes sure that his body condition is always healthy. That is why Cale think that it doesn't matter if he receives injured a little bit as long as it didn't cost him his life.

Cale always tried to bear all the burdens alone. This nature of Cale make Choi Han feel frustrated. Choi Han is not a naïve or innocent person, he has lived a life filled with darkness for a long time. Therefore, he couldn't understand why Cale can be so selfless. Cale always says that survival is the best and scold others to take care of their own health yet the one who is walking on a thin rope is Cale. Choi Han think that Cale is the one who need to follow his own advice. So, Choi Han decided to test Cale reaction.

"Cale-nim"

"What do you want?" said Cale.

"Cale-nim can I take a temporary break from the battlefields?"

"What?"

"I am tired Cale-nim. I wish to take a rest for a little bit."

Cale feels a little taken aback when he hears Choi Han wish. He couldn't believe that person who is always fighting wish for rest. Cale realized that Choi Han figure in Birth of Hero is no longer exist. The person in front of Cale is the real Choi Han. Missing Choi Han powers is a great loss to their side but actually Cale is a little bit proud of Choi Han because Choi Han choose to live his life by his own will. Cale is not a leader that forces his subordinates to fight if they don't wish to fight.

'Well, it will be a little bit annoying because I need to change my strategy but if that is Choi Han wish then I can't force him. Afterall, Choi Han already paid enough for his meal.'

With the obvious answer in Cale mind, Cale finally give answer to Choi Han wish.

"Sure, do whatever you want. This is your life, you are the one that can decide your future. You already paid enough for your meals. You can rest now."

Cale then stop looking at Choi Han and now busy to compile a new strategy. Cale don't have much time so he must work more harder to fill Choi Han place. Cale is not realized that Choi Han still stare at him and hear him mumble a new strategy. Choi Han that can hear clearly Cale mumble become more frustrated.

'How can someone be so selfless like this?!'

"...Hm should I step up this time? I don't have much choice anyways. Should I use my last card to fill Choi Han absence?" mumble Cale.

Choi Han want to ask what kind of card will Cale use but before he can ask, Cale already mumble the answer.

"It should be fine if I use my past power and the sword that world tree gives me. Hm although the risk is big but what can I do about it. As long as it doesn't cost my life then it is enough. For my sake too, I should end this battle as soon as possible."

Choi Han stare viciously at Cale after he hear Cale last card. Choi Han determined his heart that he will definitely protect Cale and will not let him use his last card.

Cale finally realize that Choi Han still stare at him viciously.

'What the hell is wrong with this bastard now? Why the hell he stares at me so viciously.'

"...em Choi Han?"

"Yes Cale-nim?"

Choi Han answer with the most innocent smile but a very vicious eye. Cale decided that he don't want to know what's wrong with him and choose to ignore it.

"...never mind."

Cale want to leave the room as soon as possible. He feels suffocated if he still in the same room with Choi Han. But before he can leave, he hears Choi Han call him.

"Cale-nim"

"What now?"

"I changed my mind, I will participate in this battle."

"What?"

"That's why Cale-nim, you don't need to use your last card. Let's proceed with our previous plan."

Cale that has been taken aback by this statement can only stare at Choi Han.

"What's wrong with this bastard? Well, it's not that I lose if Choi Han decide to join the battle. No, it will be more benefit for me if this bastard joins the battle. But what make him change his mind? Well, whatever it is I couldn't care less.'

"...sure, do whatever you want then."

"Yes Cale-nim."

Choi Han get the answer that he wants. Cale answer is obvious. He is someone who is selfless and Choi Han decided to protect and will not lose his new family anymore. Choi Han decided that he will never lose anyone again. So that's why he will not let Cale sacrifice his life. Choi Han will make sure that Cale will never bear all the injuries and pain alone anymore. He will help Cale reduced the burdens in Cale shoulder. He definitely will make sure that Cale can achieve his dream as a slacker. He chooses to listen to Cale advice "survival and live a life comfortably is the best".
