As Kokichi stared up at the ceiling, his mind focused on a singular thought. "I'm a liar. That's all I am. Nothing more." It felt as if time shot by like an arrow next to him. He hadn't budged, but he had managed to calm down from his insecurites.
It was 6 AM when Kokichi got up out of his bed. He sat up, his legs dangling over the side. He sighed and walked through the hallway; where the others were waiting.
"Saihara-chan!" Kokichi's mood lit up as he saw the blue-haired being.
"Kokichi! What are you doing?" He paused in his tracks to see Maki with him.
"Oh, hi."
"Another body was reported. Were you deaf enough not to hear Monokuma's call?"
He thought back, he was in his dorm so he should've heard it.
"Ugh." He snapped back to reality at Maki's groan.
"Uh, Come on." Shuichi said, backing out of the room slowly.
Maki turned around to face Kokichi first. Kokichi spat in disgust as she acted her usual hand signal. "Don't do anything stupid."
He followed angrily. Crossing his arms as he left the room in silence.
"Nee-heehee, don't think too much Shuichi!" Shuichi shot Kokichi a quick glance of annoyance before going back to writing his thoughts in his notebook. Kokichi felt a sharp pain in his stomach before having a sudden coughing fit. He rushed out of the room and started to cough up small drops of blood on the way. The pain in his chest was unbearable. Before long, he coughed up three blue flower petals. "... Petals?" he looked around to see no indoor plants or indoor trees. He stared at the three petals, admiring their beauty for a while. Each silky texture soft as a feather. He soon realized they were Shuichi's favourite colour.
Kokichi sat in silence. "I have Hanahaki?" His vision suddenly started to disappear. The world around him seemed blurry. He got up to leave before blacking out on the kitchen floor.
