kind of a sequel from the other chapter, so voilà!

"And you know that nurse, Julie?" My mom said almost whispering because the pain was probably taking over her body.

"The one with blonde hair?" I asked while eating the terrible hospital food.

"Yes, well, she wanted your number." She chuckled lightly.

"Oh no really? Did you give to her, please say you didn't." I replied to my mom who was still laughing and taking deep breaths through the tube around her nose.

Before she could answer, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I sent a polite smile to my mom and got my phone out. There were two messages, both from Michael, which got my attention.

M: 'hey ash, can you come over?'

M: 'please, it's urgent, i need you'

"Is it your girlfriend?" My mom asked curiously.

"Not really."

"Oh, so why are you blushing son?" She asked again and I looked up staring at her.

"I'm not blushing mom! It's only Michael, you know the boy I'm tutoring?" I said covering my cheeks and making my mom smile.

"Hmm mom, do you mind if I go to his house right now, he texted saying he needed me probably to study."

"Of course I don't mind honey, the visit time is almost over by the way. Are you coming tomorrow again?" My mom said laying on her bed which seemed really uncomfortable.

"Yeah of course, I can bring Lauren and Harry if you want." I suggested and she only nodded happily before closing her eyes.

I texted Michael saying I was coming to his house soon, and then kissed my my mom on the forehead. She smiled before I left the room and went directly to the elevators. I wasn't a big fan of hospitals, and the reason is simply because I'm coming here since last year to see my mother. I couldn't blame her though, after all it's not her fault she had cancer.

I exited the hospital as I waved goodbye to the receptionist, Grace, who loves me like I'm her grandson. My car was parked, in the same place, under the tree next to the hospital like always. I got in my car and started the engine turning the radio on.

The drive to Michael's house was kinda long, or it was only the hospital that was really far away from the city. As I drove, I watched the sun set which was breathtaking with all those pink and orange shades. After a good 10 minutes, I finally arrived at his house.

I knocked on the door at least twice before Michael opened it, with tears running down his cheeks.

"Jesus Michael, what's wrong?" I asked the boy in front of me, but all he did was pull me into his living room crying.

"Michael, talk to me, what happened?" I said pulling both of us to sit in the sofa.

"I-I can't." He whispered after a few seconds, and this was the time I realized he needed a hug.

I wrapped my arms around the shaking boy next to me who quickly threw his arms around my waist. The fact that he seemed so much smaller than me in this very moment, made me only hold him tighter and closer. I thought I was helping the boy until I noticed that he had trouble to breath.

"Mikey, I want you to take deep breaths okay?" I said trying to help the poor boy.

"I-I can't Ash." He whispered again shutting his eyes and shaking his head.
