No No No.

This can't be happening.

I can't get my mother's words out of my head.

"Get ready, we're having dinner at the Hemmings' house tonight."

I couldn't reply to her, actually I couldn't even move my body. My legs were shaking and my face got pale. She left the room quickly and I stood in the same place for a few minutes without blinking.

I wasn't going to argue with my mother though, I knew she missed her best friend, Liz. And to be honest, I'd be lying if I say I don't miss Luke's company too, but the old Luke not the jerk one.

"Are you getting ready?" I heard my mom shouts from her room.

"Yes!" Nope.

"Make sure your outfit is clean and good please!" She shouted once again causing me to roll my eyes and sigh.

I grabbed a clean pair of black skinny jeans and some random white shirt from my closet, and made my way to the bathroom.

I quickly took a shower and got dressed. I dried my hair and simply ran a hand through it not even bothering to brush it. I finally completed my "outfit" with my favorite denim jacket and my old boots.

"Mom! I'm ready." I informed her while going downstairs and sitting on the couch.

I was kinda nervous for the dinner, not only because my math teacher was going to be there but also my enemy.

I heard high heels down the stairs and turned to the left and found my mom, somehow, looking stunning in a black dress.

"Wohow, someone is looking pretty today." I said smiling at her.

"I'm pretty everyday Michael." She said confidently trying to close the clasp of her necklace.

"Ouch?" I replied playfully and walked over her. "Here let me help you."

I closed the necklace easily and rested my head on her shoulder.

"I don't wanna go mom." I whispered closing my eyes.

"I know Mikey, but let's go there and try to have a little of fun like the old times. I promise if things start getting weird, we come back. Ok?" She said stroking my hand and smiling.

I nodded and went to the front door. We crossed the street and arrived at the light yellow, all so familiar, house. I knocked on the door and waited till someone opened it.

"Oh hello! Please come in!" exclaimed Liz opening the door.

"Michael, Luke is upstairs in his room!" She informed and I sent her a polite smile.

My mom stayed in the living room with Liz while I went upstairs nervously. I saw the white door which I hadn't seen in a long time. I clenched my jaw and shut my eyes. When I was about to knock on the door, I gave up and turned around. 'I can't do this', I thought and went away.

"Michael?" Fuck. "Hey, come back!" I looked back and saw Luke leaning on the door with a smirk on his face.

My mind was screaming 'No', but my legs were already walking back to the blonde boy.

I entered his room without doing eye contact, and stood awkwardly next to his bed.

"So, how is my favorite gay friend going?" Luke said at the moment he closed his room's door.

"Shut up." I said rolling my eyes and sitting on his bed.

"Anyways, I heard Ashton is tutoring you. Already tried to flirt with him?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows teasing me.
