I never wanted to leave them. Or hurt them. Or do anything else I did to them. I didn't ask for any of it, but then again I did, because it was my fault that I left Papa, Mom, Grandpere, basketball, and most of all Genevieve alone back in America. While I, went to fight for the country that I left them in to worry about me. But of course that wasn't what I thought about when I left. When I left all I wanted was to repay America for giving my immigrant father a chance at survival.
