The Riddler's riddle ran through her mind. It was a very insane and crazy riddle. What type of person would find that humor funny?

Dr. Young placed a hand on her temple in frustration. Why would murder be funny? It was the same reason why she hated The Joker! They thought it was funny and enjoyable!

"Dr. Young, your next patient is here!" Said a male voice.

"Send him in!" She told him.

The doctor knew full well it was Dr. Jonathan Crane otherwise known as The Scarecrow!

Two guards came into the room and placed the former psychologist down in a chair.

"Thanks, you two can leave now."

Both of them looked at her with a funny look. "Are you sure? He is an incredibly dangerous patient!" Warned one of the guards.

But Dr. Young wasn't frightened in the slightest or afraid. "I'm aware of that, but this is how I do my sessions with patients."

The guards looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. "Okay, we'll be outside," They both looked at Scarecrow. "But if that monster tries anything, just scream."

Once both of them were gone, Dr. Young got out her clipboard and looked at her patient. "Hello, Crane." She said.

There was no answer just Scarecrow staring at her. She stared at the lanky man sitting in front of her.

Dr. Young smiled. "I understand that you don't feel like talking, but I need you to do it for me and you."

Scarecrow looked at Dr. Young. In his mind he had two choices; he could either stay silent and just observe his prey, or he could try talking and maybe learn more about her.

He was looking forward to breaking Dr. Young.

"Hello, doctor." He said.

"How are you doing?" She asked.

In his mid, Scarecrow was laughing! This was going to be too easy! The doctor seemed so gullible!

"Fine. Today I'm doing quite well."

"Anything spectacular go on today?" She asked.

Crane looked at the ceiling then back at doctor young. "I had a conversation with one of my friends when I'm allowed out of my cell."

"That's good." She leaned back in her chair with a clipboard in her hand. "Is there anything you would like to discuss during this session?" Asked Dr. Young.

Dr. Crane thought about what he should tell this doctor about? She obviously looked very naive and if he played his cards right, this session would be his!

He looked at Dr. Young. "How about you doctor? Is there anything you need to discuss? Any fears or phobias?" Asked Dr. Crane in his usual tone.

She smiled. "Nice try Dr. Crane, but you can't take over this session. I'm not like any other doctor you faced." Warned Dr. Young.

Dr. Crane so badly wanted to go over and smack her in the face, but he couldn't because of this stupid straightjacket! Maybe he could coax Dr. Young into taking it off? No for now he would watch her and observe. Find out what makes the doctor tick!

"Anyways, if you won't pick a topic, I shall pick one instead."

"And what might that be, doctor?" He asked.

"I want you to tell me about your fear toxin." She stated. "I wish to know how you do it?"

He didn't expect to hear that out of a doctor before! Most of them would always ask the question of why and how? But Dr. Young straight-up wanted to know how it was done! This was very interesting.

Crane sat in the chair and looked at Dr. Young in the eyes. "It is all very simple. I'm sure you read my file."

"Yes of course I have, but I want to know directly from the source." Explained Dr. Young.

Scarecrow exhaled. "Well, it's a lot of chemistry from mixing several different chemicals."

Dr. Young started writing down something on her clipboard and then looked back up to her patient.

"What chemicals exactly?" She asked.

He smiled once he noticed Dr. Young's curiosity. "A lot of it I can't give away, but it does require quite a bit of hallucinogens." Crane explained.

"And is there a reason you perform these actions?"

Again it was something unexpected! What is the deal with this doctor? He would for sure have to find out the reason!

Jonathan Crane leaned back in his chair. "I guess it's all part of an experiment. Just to find out what fears people have."

Dr. Young something down on her clipboard then looked back up at her patient. "Yes, I read your file and you seem to have an obsession with fears. Every doctor you've also had has said that your obsession started at Gotham University. It is also where your 'Scarecrow' persona began to manifest."

"Actually doctor, it was a series of events that led to me eventually taking up my Scarecrow mantel."

Dr. Young looked very intrigued and wrote down some things. She definitely was interested in what this former psychologist had to say. "What events caused you to become what you are?"

Crane leaned back in his chair. "Can we discuss this topic at a later date? I'm kind of tired. Sleep is very  vital to the human body."

"I know I'm a doctor." She finished what she was writing down and then looked back up at her patient. "We can continue this session next week."

"That'll be fine, doctor."

The guards came into the room and grabbed him. After they left Dr. Young had conflicted opinions through her mind. He wasn't at all like how other doctors have diagnosed. Jonathan Crane didn't seem to be a monster, but rather someone that made a mistake.

Further sessions would help determine what she thought about her new patient, but right now, was the man really a monster like everyone says he is? Sure he used his fear toxin, but it seemed for a good scientific reason.

Dr. Young sat back in her chair and reviewed the notes on Johnathon Crane. She thought about what led him down this dangerous and seemingly inescapable hole in his life? Whatever it was she would find out in their next session and perhaps learn more.

Scarecrow was in his cell pondering about what to do to his new doctor? What should be done with poor doctor Young? Of course, he would need to break her and take away the doctor's sanity! Just as he'd done with every other doctor that he's had, but first he had to find out what made his doctor tick!

He sat on his tiny bed and looked all around his cell until he found a vial of his fear toxin that was hidden away so that plain eyes couldn't see!

Another thought came into his mind, perhaps she could be the perfect test subject for his newest strand of fear toxin! It could work, but first, he needed to find out about doctor Young's fears. But to do that he would need to tell her a little bit about his past. Perhaps that would help gain trust for her to eventually give out what scares her the most! What type of skeletons are locked in the good doctor's closet!

He would find out over time and gradually find out more about his new doctor.

"I will break her!" Stated Scarecrow.

From within her office, Dr. Young has read up everything about her newest patient and was determined to find out what made everyone think he was a monster or some type of lunatic!

"Our next session, I will find out about you, Dr. Crane." She promised with a smile.
