~We are gonna go back a bit to when Benny and Jackie were on their date~

Anonymous POV

I headed to the sandlot, I knew they would be there they are always there on the Fourth of July. They always play one night game a year and it was on this day because with the fireworks in the sky it gave just enough light and the feeling of being in the big leagues. I pushed open the gate to the sandlot, I heard some music playing so I kept in behind the tall weeds. I saw two figures laying on the pitcher's mound with two flashlights surrounding it. I walked closer making sure they wouldn't see me, I thought it Ham and Jackie. They have to best sibling bond I've ever seen, and Yeah-Yeah had to be like their adopted brother the way she treats him.

"Don't wake up Don't wake up." someone whispered.

I saw one figure sit up slowly making sure the other didn't wake up. The moving figure clicked off the flashlights and the radio, it walked over to the dugout and set them on the bench. I crept closer to the figure laying down I saw that it was Jackie, but the other figure was too big to be Hamilton. The other being came over and picked up Jackie I could see a smile spread across its face, it leaned down and kissed her.

"I love you, Jackie. I'm so happy you said yes," it whispered.

I knew that voice. I was the voice of my old friend but now the enemy. Benny Rodriguez.

Benny's POV

I woke up to my brother pounding on my door, telling me to wake up. I did so and got ready for the day, I put on my Yankees hat, some jeans, my PF flyers, and a red and white shirt. I brushed my hair and went downstairs to eat. My mom was already at work so my amazing brothers made pancakes, most of them were on the ceiling. They really sucked at cooking or really anything other than baseball and building things, they were arguing about how much flour to put in as I made my way downstairs.

"If you guys are gonna take forever, I'm going to the sandlot," I announced.

They turned to me and smirked, "Bit early isn't it? You just wanna see your new girlfriend."

I rolled my eyes at them as I left. It was 7:43 in the morning she wasn't up yet, she normally wakes up at 8:10. Kinda creepy I know that now I think about it. I walked past Jackie's house to actually see her and Ham sitting on the porch, I walked up to them. Their faces lit up as soon as I came into view, Jackie had a piece of paper in her hand. It looked very crumpled I sat next to her and put an arm around her.

"Hey guys, I'm heading to the drug store to buy a ball. Wanna come?" I asked.

They nodded their heads, Jackie stuffed the paper in her back shorts pocket and grabbed my hand. We walked to the drug store in silence, Jackie stayed outside while me and Ham went inside.

"What's up with you guys? Are you ok?" I asked while paying for the ball.

"Jackie got a weird letter last night about you two. She's a little freaked out, she told me she wanted to have a campout tonight because she wanted to tell us something." Ham answered.

We left the store and headed to the sandlot, some of the boys were already there. Once everyone arrived we began to play ball, everyone was really pumped except Jackie. She took up the outfield, she never takes up the outfield; whatever that letter had on it really screwed her up. We played for about 5 hours before we all got tired and stopped.

"Um... hey guys can we have another campout tonight? I wanna tell ya'll something." Jackie asked.

She was playing with the bottom of her shirt, I could tell she was really nervous. The boys agreed and headed home to get ready. I walked home with Jackie, our fingers were intertwined. Ham was chatting with Smalls.
