Pretty's on the Inside (Leonardo x OC)

(Micah is one of the fictional characters I made up, don't be like me and search them up on google, also I thought of this one after I saw the comic above) 

Leonardo: 

I walked in the forest, the tall pine trees covered me so I couldn't be seen by any one, that's how it should be, everyone treated me like a freak anyway, just because my eye color is weird. 

was it such a big deal that my eye is a different color then the other? I kept on walking, birds flew out of their trees and animals hid in their borrows or caves or where ever they lived in. 

The names the villagers called me echoed in my mind: "freak!" "Monster!" "Man-eater!" "I'm not a man-eater I haven't even harmed a single human in ages!" I found myself muttering. 

"Ugh! Stay away freak!" "Look at those eyes they're so weird!" "Stay away from him, he might kill us too!" "I never killed any one!" I cried out in mind, "ew, you're really ugly" "just die you ugly monster!" "Leave you freak!" 

I almost started crying when: "woah! Pretty!" I looked to where the sound came from, there was a boy on one of the branches in the pine trees, "pretty?" I asked. 

"Yeah! Your eyes!" He replied, beaming, "I didn't know eyes could be different colors!" I was confused and shocked, but I didn't show it, "uh... thanks I guess?" I muttered. 

"Any who how long have you been there?" I asked, he chuckled nervously, "I'm sorta stuck?" He replied nervously, "need some help?" I asked, holding my hand out to him. 

"Yeah! Thanks" he climbed onto my hand and I let him down, I began to walk away, "wait!" I turned around, "if you don't mind, can I go with you please?" 

I looked at him completely and utterly confused, "why?" I asked, "you don't seem like a bad person, er- turtle," he replied, "plus I want to go on an adventure but my parents never let me" 

"You want to?" I asked, "well, yeah! I mean, it's not like you're a monster or something" he replied, wow, is he really that clueless? Look at me! I am a monster! 

I looked down, "you don't think I'm a monster?" I asked, then I let out a soft chuckle, "what am I even saying, of course you think I'm a monster," I turned away from him, "I mean, who doesn't? That's what I am anyway" 

"No! That's not true!" He cried, "you're not a monster!" "how do you know?" I asked, "you've never met me" "so?" He replied, "you're not wrong or a monster just because you're different!" 

That came as a small tug on my heart, I never heard anyone say that, the only time I did was with... Karai... I sighed and turned around, "do you really think that?" I asked. 

He nodded, "your eyes just make you even more intriguing" he replied, I found myself smiling, "so? Do you want to go? Or not?" He gave an excited yes! And jumped up and down. 

I set my hand down in front of him palm up, he climbed on and I set him down on my shoulder, "right, I forgot, my name is Leonardo," I said, "Leo if you want to" 

"Micah," he replied, "MIC if you want" I found myself chuckling a bit as I moved towards the tall mountains, "MIC?" I asked, "really?" Micah laughed, "what can I say?" He asked. 

I chuckled again, the mountains were dead ahead, before I climbed I asked: "do you really want to come with me? If you do you can't go back to your village" 

"Yes, I do, no questions asked, I'm going" he replied without a moments hesitation, I smiled and climbed the mountain over the other side, "you don't think I'm weird?" I asked. 

"Nope," he replied, "my mom always said: 'pretty's on the inside'" sunshine found it's way into my heart, "and if you ask me:" he added. 

"I think you're really pretty"
