wrote this for myself cuz i needed it reader has a nightmare and iida is there to comfort them :D

You suddenly sat up out of bed in a cold sweat. You released a quiet sob and held onto your stuffie. You didn't remember the specifics of your dream, but you remember feeling scared.

"Star?" Tenya's sleepy voice helped ground you. You were still in your room and there was never anyone trying to hurt you.

"Papa..." You whimpered and buried your face in his chest. He began to pet you. He was new to being a caregiver but doing his best because he loved you very much. You always appreciated his efforts.

"What happened? Was it a bad dream?" When you nodded, he kissed your forehead. "Don't worry, Papa's got you... Papa is right here."

You smiled a little. "Let me see that precious smile." You shyly tilted your head up to look at him. "Aw, there they are! There's my happy baby."

He sat up and rubbed his eyes, putting on his glasses. "What's the clock say, Little Star?"

"Five... thh...th..." You were too little to pronounce the second word.

"You can do it... th..ir...ty." You repeated after him.

"Thirty!" You said, smiling proudly.

"That's right!" He kissed your cheek, making you giggle.

He grabbed your pacifier case off your nightstand and opened it. "Say ahh!" You do as told and he gently puts it in your mouth, chuckling softly when you smile.

"There you go. I don't think you can get back to sleep... hm... how about some breakfast?"

You nod happily and he picks you up, carrying you into the living room.

"What does my baby wanna watch?"

You take out your paci and shout "Ses-me street!"

He laughs and puts it on for you. "Papa will be back soon with some oatmeal." You nod and happily kick your feet.

You slowly feel yourself starting to doze off, only to be woken up again by someone petting you.

"Papa's sorry for waking you, Little Star. Your food is ready."

He feeds you your oatmeal as you watch Sesame Street together. <3
