Part Two;
Don't Push Yourself.

"Sometimes, kindness is enough.."

Cross sighed. "Dream- You need to give up the niceness act here, you just keep getting hurt and more flowers keep appearing- I don't want to lose you to this, not at all, you're already struggling to move and talk.." Cross let out a pitiful whine. He never knew he could grow this soft for someone who was supposedly on the opposite side to him, but he was desperate. You see, Dream was always trying to make everyone positive here with his aura; it was draining him, and with his condition whenever he would be hurt physically-- which happened a lot-- flowers would sprout into his bones and attach like parasites. It happened so much now that Dream's state was worsening. "Crossy.. I'm fine, promise." Dream murmured out, gripping onto Cross lightly. "I already got you to go good, didn't I? It took a while, but.. I did it.." Dream smiled up at Cross, the other frowning instead of smiling himself. "Yes, yes you did, but I'm not as harsh as the rest of them- I don't attack without reason, everyone else.." Cross led off, not able to form his concern into words. Dream frowned at the harshly negative aura coming from Cross, leaning into the other softly as Cross held him close. The movement was painful and straining on Dream's bones; but he had to worry about Cross right now, the amount of negativity he was feeling might accidentally..- Dream brushed the thought away and looked up at Cross. "I can get through to them.. They're just- more stubborn.. Than you are.." Dream felt pain surge through his bones as his jaw moved to form the words; his words were quiet and slightly strained because of the lack of movement Dream could do at the moment with the amount of flowers intertwining and stiffening his bones into place. "Dream.." Cross started, his voice shaking slightly. "Dream, you're going to die  if you keep this up.." Dream was surprised with the sudden aura coming from Cross; sadness, worry.. Love? Dream quickly pushed the thought away as he saw Cross start to tear up, moving to stand in front of him, feeling Cross's arms only wrap around him tighter. Dream shakily lifted his hand and wiped at Cross's tears, ignoring the surging pain going through him from the flowers and roots that had rusted their places into his bones. "C-Cross- I'll be fine- Don't worry, please.." This didn't seem to calm Cross down at all- Dream blinked as Cross's arm lifted to wipe at his face, not even realizing that his own golden-yellow tears started cascading down his skull; from the amount of pain he was in, he just realized it when he noticed the tears. He gripped onto Cross tightly-- trying to get an outlet for the pain, golden-yellow tears continuing to pour down his skull; starting at his sockets, dripping down his cheekbones, and then falling off of the line of his jaw. He felt Cross grip onto him with the same intensity, obviously seeing how much pain Dream was in was scaring him, and making him even more worried for the other. Dream was quickly involved in his own pain as he realized how much his bones ached and how he struggled to keep himself steady- but had to quickly focus on Cross again at feeling the negative aura from the other increase. He focused on Cross, again trying to ignore the pain, opening his mouth to speak, just for Cross to kiss the top of his skull. "D-Dream- it's fine, just- cry it out, if you're in pain, don't.. don't try to ignore it." Cross's voice was shaky and soft, clear concern but also caring in his tone. And with that, Dream turned into a sobbing mess as he let the pain from all the moving and speaking in his bones take over his thoughts, leaning into Cross's grip and hiding his face in the other's chest weakly; his form shaking rapidly from the added movement. It felt like his bones were on fire, and he felt stuck at the same time- he wanted to move and do something, but the pain was willing him to stay put and let everything just.. happen. It reminded him of when his brother.. No, he cannot think of that now. He kept crying until he felt his rushing waterfall-like tears shrink down into smaller, more gentle streams. After he finally calmed down, he noted how Cross seemed a bit more calm too. But, the calmness didn't last for long as Dream suddenly started coughing, and realized with a start that he was feeling too many negative emotions right now. Anything more, and he'd.. "Oh no- Dream, is this the negative emotions thing you were talking about?" Cross's question came out rushed as Dream felt his head lightly being lifted to look up at Cross. He remembers vaguely saying that feeling negative emotions were complicated to the other- but that's all he said. Without second thought, Dream nodded in response to Cross, continuing to cough. He really needed Cross to feel some sort of positive emotion right now- and he hoped the other would catch on. Dream watched as Cross nodded, jolting lightly as he felt himself pulled closer to Cross, watching Cross close his eyes. Dream pondered what Cross was doing as coughs continued to rack through his rib cage- only worsening the pain of the flowers that had attached there- pausing as he felt a calm flow of emotions come from Cross; happiness, contentment, comfort.. affection..? Dream's coughs slowly subsided as he took in each of these positive emotions, using a bit of his aura to assist Cross with his feelings and so the emotions would boost and become stronger. A silence fell between the two as Dream finally stopped coughing all together, lifting his head up to Cross with a soft smile. "Thank you, Crossy.." He murmured, getting a small smile from Cross in return. "Of course, Dream.." Cross fell quiet, but then sighed and spoke again. "How about we just sit here for a bit? Forget about everyone else outside of this small space we have here, just for a little bit- okay?" Dream's soft smile grew as he nodded gently, leaning into Cross with a small hum of happiness. Being kind would be enough, eventually, at some point all of them would cave to Dream's kindness. Dream knew it.
