Ch2 When Reality Strikes part 5

*Stacey arrived as soon as possible, at the hospital, as she already knew that Xanteria would end up going there since Stephany and Jessica were trying to kill Xanteria. Xanteria is still in a sleepy state but can hear what people tell her.*

Stacey: Hi, the doctors let me in, my name is Stacey, I was the one you shot last during the paintball game. I was not going to shoot you, I was going to warn you about Jessica, the one who shot you with poison so you could not awake for a while. Jessica was planning on taking you with her and killing you but instead, Keaton, your boyfriend, shot her with a paintball gun at a very close range, she was in huge pain and then left. I already told your boyfriend why she and Jessica's accomplice Stephany, who Wesley shot for you, are trying to kill you. They want to kill you because you are going out with Keaton, who sings really well at our high school and they are very jealous fans. I am sorry I did not help you but I will continue to try to help you, those girls are pure evil and need to be incarcerated.

*Stacey leaves, Xanteria's family and Keaton, Drew, and Wesley come in.*

Keaton: I wonder when she will wake up, I really want to talk to her.

Drew: So do I, gosh darn.

Wesley: I hope she gets better soon, I miss my friend.

Jennifer Snow: I have faith she will wake up, I mean at least she is alive.

Ralph Snow: She will wake up and this probably won't be her last time in the hospital.

Jake: She does get hurt a lot but this time it was not her fault, some girl shot her with a sleeping potion I do not know why, and that girl is still out there.

Xin: I know. What if she was planning something?

Keaton: She was, she and her accomplice want to kill Xanteria.

Drew: Since when do you know this?

Keaton: Since the day of the paintball game, after Xanteria had already been shot.

Wesley: Who told you this?

Keaton: Stacey, a girl from our school that knows the girls trying to kill her but dislikes the evil things they do.

Drew: Stacey Ross?

Keaton: Yes

Ralph Snow: Why would girls from your school want to kill Xanteria?

Keaton: Does not matter, what matters is making sure Xanteria wakes up and feels better. That and finding the girls that want to kill her.

Drew: Indeed.

Ralph Snow: Okay but I am not done talking to you, mister.

*3 days later. Keaton is awake by Xanteria's hospital bed, Wesley is out getting something to eat, Xanteria's family is coming back in soon and Drew is asleep.*

Keaton: *Holds Xanteria's hand, kisses it and then kisses her lips and Xanteria stirs and wakes up* My princess is awake, how are you holding up?

Xanteria: Great now that my prince has awoken me, just like in a fairytale.

Keaton: Really?

Xanteria: Except for one thing.

Keaton: What's that?

Xanteria: It is just so hard but I just cannot take it anymore, all this is insane, people trying to kill me is just too much. Oh, how it is so hard to say this since I am in love with you.

Keaton: Hard to say what? And Stacey told you, did she tell you why?

Xanteria: Yes, she did and I do not know if I can be in a relationship where my life is at risk. I have my younger siblings to worry about and if something should happen to me...no I do not want to think about it.

Keaton: Are you...breaking up with me? 

Xanteria: I love you. I hate saying this...as much as you hate hearing it but I am breaking up with you. Can I give you one last kiss and can we stay friends? I do not want to lose you, I hope you understand why I am doing this, it is not you, it is me. I just want to stay alive, just in case my siblings ever need me.

Keaton: I understand. You still love me, though?

Xanteria: Yes, that is right.

Keaton: Then okay. *kisses her lips and she joins in.* *stops kissing her and holds her left hand, then touches her ring finger* Maybe someday, if the girls who want to kill you get incarcerated and you are still available, I will have you forever. For now, though I still want to be friends.

Xanteria: I agree maybe, and hopefully. I am glad that you can see pass this and still be friends with me because I could not bear to ever part with you.
