I'm sorry I forgot to post last week, I was busy with my anxiety-filled puppy. Also sorry for how trashy speaking in this chapter is I haven't slept in like three weeks.

My eyes fluttered open as the harsh rays of sun hit my face, the stone under my body and cracking of my back alerted me to the fact I was still in the astronomy tower. I must've fallen asleep while talking to the lady. I yawned and rolled onto my back stretching and hearing a satisfying pop. It took me a minute to sit up and even longer to stand. I scratched my collar bone and started my descent down the stairs out of the tower.

I had to be careful walking down the stairs, one misplaced toe and it was a 5682 step fall till you reached the floor. I got to the first painting that leads to the passage, I did a quick check to make sure nobody was around before getting in. I crawled around and found my favourite part, a large long pipe that never had water running through it. I took my wand from my robe pocket, thankfully it hadn't been snapped while I was sleeping.

"Accio sled," I waved my wand and from the bottom of the pipe a small clang of the sled came up. The sled zipped up and landed beside me at the top of the pipe. I smiled and put my wand back in my robe before taking it off and folding it. Sitting on the sled robe in my lap I pushed myself forward.

The sled tipped over the edge of the pipe and started to zip down. It felt like the Gringotts trolleys. I laughed as it plummeted and slid down, twirling the zooming around inside the walls. Who needs coffee when you've got something like this first thing in the morning.

The sled slid to a stop and I got off, stashing my robe under my arm I walked the rest of the path till I reached the back of a tapestry on the first floor. I slipped out under it and wiped the dust off myself, I was around the corner from the great hall. Nobody was around so I just walked by myself, I poked my head into the hall and noticed it was breakfast. I must've just missed announcements and people were still piling food on their plates. I slipped in and sat at the Gryffindor table waiting for any of the gingers or any of the other people I'm friends with.

Percy was the first to show up, I slid under the table so he wouldn't see me and force me back to the Slytherin table. Harry and Ron walked in together, Draco had walked in before them and looked absolutely gobsmacked as they walked in not expelled. I waved them over and we started to eat after a pleasant greeting.

Owls fluttered in and I laughed as a few people got packages to the head as they were distracted by a long oddly wrapped gift carried by six large owls they all let go. I quickly picked up my plate as it slammed onto the table right in front of Harry and I. Food splattered everywhere but I was apparently the only one who cared. Harry picked up the letter another owl had dropped and tore it open carefully. He read it with Ron over his shoulder, they both gasped before Harry handed it to me so I could see. I gasped as well, the letter said:

DO NOT OPEN THE PARCEL AT THE TABLE.

It contains your new Nimbus Two Thousand, but I don't want everybody knowing you've got a broomstick or they'll all want one. Oliver Wood will meet you tonight on the Quidditch field at seven o'clock for your first training session.

"A Nimbus Two Thousand!" Ron moaned enviously. "I've never even touched one."

I groned, obviously! The school can afford to buy the richest 11-year old who has never played quidditch before a Nimbus Two Thousand. But can't afford maintenance on the school ones? Or to buy spare books for students who might need them and not torn up fourth, fifth or sixth person hand me downs. Seriously this school needs to sort out what's most important.

The three of us left the hall quickly, they wanted to open it quickly in private. Harry was holding it as we walked,  but halfway across the entrance hall, we found the way upstairs was blocked by Crabbe and Goyle.  Malfoy seized the package from Harry and felt it.
