as the saying goes, a habit takes 21 days to form. in the past one month, she would visit his house for breakfast and dinner everyday, hence it became a habit of hers
their relationship as neighbours grew. gojou satoru being the tease he is would often make her flustered, leaving her slightly angry at herself for letting his teasing get to her.
it has been a few days since he disappeared randomly, and so she has been settling her own meals with deliveries.
as aki left her house that evening, she noticed his door is open. afraid that someone had broken into his house, she walked towards it, hearing laughter and chu's barking from within. aki walked cautiously into his house and saw a man and woman sitting on the sofa playing with chu.
"excuse me, may i know who you are ?"
chu immediately ran towards her when he saw her, startling them all.
"woah calm down ! i know you're just friendly but my heart can't take it."
aki smiled at chu, over the past month, she became less afraid of him and even dared to touch him.
"may we know who you are ?"
the man asked as he stood up, eyeing aki.
"i'm satoru's ... neighbour."
aki pursed her lips, she does live opposite of him, neighbour is a good word to describe their relationship now.
"nanami kento and kage shiori, i'm satoru's cousin and this is my wife."
"oh, nice to meet you, i'm watanabe aki." aki smiled, "do you know what happened to satoru ?"
"he injured himself during a surgery a few days ago and they're keeping him quarantined to prevent infections."
aki frowned, worried about his safety, "will he be alright ? what about chu ?"
"he's going to be fine, don't worry, maybe you should try calling him. also, could you please take care of his house for us ? our house is quite far from here so ..."
"that's fine !"
nanami tossed the spare keys to her and they thanked her before leaving. aki stood there as she wondered where she had seen satoru's cousin before.
as the two took the lift down to their car, kage clung her hands onto nanami's.
"kento, is that the girl who likes doctors instead of lawyers."
nanami smiled, "mhmm. also i can't believe she said they're neighbours, which neighbour cares so much about the other's safety ? did you see how worried she was ?"
