The door jingled as I walked through and I shuffled over to the seats, waiting excitedly for my name to be called. I drummed my fingers on my lap, tapping my feet against the tiled floor, trying to calm myself down.

'Gemma Irwin?' a girl called out. Once I heard my name, I lept up and skipped over to her, falling into the black chair that she had turned towards me.

She smirked as I told her what I wanted her to do, 'great choice' she replied, I grinned in response and sat back patiently as she set to work on my hair.

As soon as she had finished she spun me towards the mirror and I stared in awe at my hair, now a gorgeous light lilac shade. A wide smile grew on my face, and I ran my fingers through it. 'Thank you so much, it's gorgeous!' I told the girl, she simply laughed and walked over to the till. I followed her, still smiling at my new look. I payed her and then walked happily out of the shop, greeted again by the positive jingle of the bell which hung above the door.

I was met by a sharp gust of wind, hitting my face like a brick wall, I quickly turned off, shooting off towards the corner of the road in an attempt to hide from the wind. I felt on top of the world, nothing could bring me down at this moment.

I take it back. The moment I rounded the corner I ran into Jessica, the bitch who was making out with my boyfriend less than 24 hours ago.
