"Finally!" I exclaimed. My online classes had ended. I threw my lap to the side and grabbed the TV remote. "Time for Netflix."
I turned on the TV and scrolled down through Netflix until I found the show I was looking for and let it roll.
Chloé and I have been dating for a few months now. The best 2 months of my life. On our first date she took me to a fancy restaurant in Toronto called Canoe. Some place run by a world class chef. The food was amazing. But not as amazing as Chloé did. I mentally smirked as I remembered how Chloé tasted like: honey and strawberries.
"I'm home!"
I heard Chloé's voice from downstairs and quickly jumped to my feet. I hurried down the stairs to welcome my girlfriend. I saw her figure in the kitchen as I made my way down. I couldn't help but grin at the sight of her. God, I must look pretty stupid right now. I stared taking the stairs two at a time and then three. As I neared the next floor I couldn't help but chuckle a bit as well. "Chloé!" I exclaimed and ran upto her.
She looked surprise to see me at first, but the suprise look on her face soon turned into a grin. She set down a muffin she had been eating and opened her arms. I threw myself at her wrapping my arms as tightly as I could around her making our bodies collide. She made a high pitch noise- almost too high to hear and threw her arms around me.
"I missed you so much, princess." I said into her neck. I was much shorter than she was but hey, atleast I still topped. Being shorter than Chloé was the worst! She always teased me about my height. But it had a little perk too. Whenever she goes too far I get to punish her. I mentally smirked.
"I missed you too, Em." Chloé dropped a kiss on my head and drew away.
That's strange. Chloé never draws away from a hug. She loved them. "Is...something wrong?" I examined Chloé's face. There was something pretty off about her today, I just can't put my finger on it. Chloé shook her head and smiled, a weak, tired, forceful smile. "No, no. I'm just tired, that's all."
"Oh! well you should get some sleep. Should I-"
"No. It's alright." Chloé's voice was cold. I couldn't help but frown. She saw me frown and dropped a kiss on my lips. "I'm terribly sorry, Emma. I'm just really tired, that's all. Tomorrow's a Saturday. I promise I'll make it up to you ok?"
I gave her a slight smiled as I nodded. "I get it. You've been practicing too much these days. Get some sleep okay?" Chloé nodded and started to make her way upstairs. I watched as she disappeared up the stairs and sighed to myself. Something is definitely wrong with her.
