wren's pov...

Today is the day. I'm so nervous. Will they like me? Will I fit in? Will I be accepted? So much was going through my mind as I got up and ready for my first day at the BAU. I have to get in early to speak to unit chief Aaron Hotchner.

I woke up at 6:45am and hopped in the shower. After I got out I put my silk robe on and blow dried my hair. I did my makeup before getting dressed. I walked over to my closet and decided to wear a brown button up long sleeve with black pants and black shoes. After getting dressed I walked into my kitchen to make breakfast. I ate eggs with peppers and strawberries. I drank some coffee then left out the door at 8:30.

Once I pulled into the parking lot of the BAU my heart dropped to my stomach. I was so nervous. This job is the best thing I could have ever asked for. I cannot mess this up. I get out of my car and walk into the building. It's huge. I find where I need to go then hop into the elevator.

"Hold the door!" A man called out.

I stuck my hand out to stop the doors from closing in. A tall man with light brown hair walked into the elevator.

"Thank you."

"Oh no problem!"

"Are you new? I've never seen you around before."

"Yes I actually just transferred here from Pennsylvania. I'm Wren, Wren Adams." I stuck my hand out to shake his hand. His hand was warm and soft, but veiny.

"Spencer Reid. BAU profiler."

"Oh me too! I'm working on Aaron Hotchner's team." I tell Spencer.

"I am actually on that team." He laughed.

The elevator door opened and Reid walked out and into the bulletin, or so he called it. He directed me toward Aaron Hotchner's office. I thanked him then walked to Aaron's office.

*Knock Knock*

"Come on in."

"Hi I'm Wren Adams, new member of your team."

"Hello. I'm Aaron Hotchner, unit chief."

"Yes I've heard all about you!"

We talked for a few more minutes. He told me everything I needed to know; guidelines, usual procedure, and any other important rules I needed to know. He told me to call him Hotch.

"We actually don't have a case today so we will just meet everyone and have a calm day."

reid's pov...

"Her name is Wren Adams. I met her in the elevator." I told Derek.

"Oh is it now?"

"Why did you say it like that?"

"Sounds like pretty boy has a crush." He teased.

"Oooo a crush? Do tell!" Emily walked over and teased.

"It's not a crush, I barely even know the girl."

"Is she pretty?" Emily asked.

"Well yeah she is. But that proves nothing."

I walked away and bumped into a girl. Wren.

"Oh sorry Spencer."

"No, no I wasn't looking where I was going, I'm sorry."

"Round table, two minutes." Hotch walked by and said.

"Let's go." I told Wren.

third person pov...

Hotch met everyone in the briefing room. "Everyone, this is Agent Wren Adams. She transferred here from the Pennsylvania task force."

"Well this is the girl Reid's been talking about." Morgan laughed.

"What?" Wren questioned.

"He's joking, trust me he's joking. I explained that we met in the elevator and then he and Prentiss started teasing me. Ignore him. It's for the best." Reid explained.

"Well anyways. Hello I'm David Rossi." He shook Wren's hand.

"Pleasure to meet you, sir. I'm a big fan. You're such an amazing writer."

"You've read my books?"

"I own every single one, first edition."

"I'm impressed."

The team met their newest member and they chatted for a while. Wren enjoyed everyone there. They're so nice and welcoming and function like a family. Wren noticed how Reid wasn't really interacting with anyone, he was sitting down reading.

"Like it so far? I read that last night. It was interesting."

"Yes it's alright." He flipped through the pages so fast, Wren was confused.

"Are you actually reading all of that?"

"Yes. I have an IQ of 187 and have an eidetic memory. I can read up to 20,000 words per minute."

Wren paused. Had she just met her soulmate?

"Woah. I have an IQ of 184 and also have an eidetic memory."

"What? You're kidding, right?"

"No I'm really not. This is crazy!"

"It is. I've never met anyone like me."

"Well here I am."

"Here you are."
