narrative pov...

As Reid went to bed last night he thought working with someone who is just as smart as him would be fun. But by the end of the week he soon realized it would be a nightmare. He had never had anyone to compete with but with Wren here, everything was different.

It's been two weeks since Wren Adams started working at the BAU. Spencer and Wren get annoyed of each other a whole lot.

two days ago....

third person pov...

"Did you guys know that about 41% of marriages end in divorce?" Reid told the team.

"Actually it's 43%." Wren corrected him.

"Ohhh, kid, you just got Wrened!" Morgan joked.

"Um actually it is 41%. Look it up." Reid told them.

"Spencer, cmon, you're not always right. It's okay to be wrong."

"I am not wrong."

"Spence."

"That is not my name. It is Spencer."

"Oh my gosh!"

"Do it, look it up."

Emily looked it up and confirmed that it is indeed 41%. Wren apologized then began to pack up her things to head home.

present day...

wren's pov...

When I got to work this morning I poured myself a cup of coffee then headed to my desk. I turned to walk away as I crashed into Spencer.

"Holy hell!" He yelled.

"Oh my gosh Spence I am so sorry! I- I wasn't paying attention."

"No you weren't. And that is not my name, I've told you this already. It's Spencer. Spencer. Got it? Great." He then walked away after putting me in my place.

reid's pov...

"Hey kid you okay?" Derek asked me as I was trying to get coffee out of my shirt.

"Yes I'm fine. You know what? No I'm not fine. Wren has been such a pain in my ass. She tries correcting me when I am right. She dumped hot coffee on me this morning and she's ruining the work environment. Things were so much better without her here." After saying that I saw the look on Derek's face.

I turned around to see Wren standing there. She had tears in her eyes and set a cup of coffee down on my desk.

"Thank you so much, Spencer. That's for you." She walked away and out the door.

I quickly followed her into the elevator.

"Wren I-."

"Spencer. I am so sorry that me working here is bad for you. I'm sorry you can't deal with someone who's almost as smart as you on the team. I'm sorry that you got in my way earlier."

The elevator dinged and the doors opened. She rushed out and went outside.

later in the morning...

"Conference room. Five minutes." Hotch told Emily, Derek and I.

I haven't seen Wren since earlier this morning. I feel really bad for what I said. How does one talk to girls? 50% of men just take women for granted anyways. That's not okay.

"Guys what do I do?" I asked Emily and Derek.

"Well you pretty much tore her open and sliced up her insides. How do you think she's feeling? She's hurt and insecure. She is taking what you said to heart." Emily explained to me.
