arriving her classroom, she then proceeded to her desk letting her bag fall loosely beside her. she stares outside the window, waiting for the room to be filled up.

" hey, areum~! " she went up to look at her seatmate soojin walking to her, and began hugging her side. she also saw jeno just arrived, standing behind the door.

" oh, hi soojin ", greeting and hugging her back with a light smile.

soojin is one of areum's friend along with chenle and jisung. everyone in their class knew that she is whipped for jaemin, always attending all of his games and cheering him in the crowd with her hearts out.

on the other hand, jeno and jaemin are known to be the best all-round players in their school. the best of the bests in football, basketball and even swimming-indeed, they got it all. they are also famous for their visuals, easily capturing everyone's heart with a single smile.

despite exceling in sports, they still took a science oriented class. reason? we'll know soon~

" hi areum, can i borrow a pen? " jeno asked as he slowly approached areum

areum then picked up her pencil case and gave him one. " oh, here. " she said as she reached for his hand, dropping the pen on his palm with a stoic face.

" thanks, areum.. " jeno blushes lightly while smiling to himself with the idea of holding her hand as he held her pen in his hand carefully. areum then nonchantly hums, focusedly scanning her english textbook.

soojin stood there, looking around while their class is slowly filling up, trying to find jaemin. she already felt like he's going to be late so she sighed.

witnessing jeno and areum's small interaction, she knitted her brows when she noticed jeno's pencil case full of pens as he forgot to close his bad and failed to hide them between his books.

'what was that for?' soojin thought 'hmm, a bit sus'

while being drowned in her thoughts, the bell began to rang signalling that the class is about to start.

" renjun! where were you? you went out early with my cousin again? i told you guys yesterday that we'll go together to school starting today! you didn't even wait for me! " haechan bombarded renjun with complains as soon as he arrived their room.

" wait for you? for an hour? you say you'll be there in 5 minutes when in fact you just woke up that time " renjun said as he tried to reach for his history notebook on his bag beside him.

" you just want to keep my cousin to yourself. " haechan pouted, " don't forget, she's my buddy too! "

" dumbass, she has a quiz in english today and I also have a long exam in history later so we didn't want to waste time after arriving so early and went to the library to review " renjun then started to skim his notes focusedly, trying to ignore haechan to finally do his thing.

" wait, fuck. what?! WE have an exam in history? " haechan snatched renjun's notebook as soon as he realized that. " i just played valorant the whole night last night, i forgot it! "

" it's your fault then, dumbass "

" shut up ugly rat! i still hate you and areum for leaving me >;[ " renjun wheezed at haechan's pouty face.

donghyuck, renjun and areum are neighbors and are childhood buddies at the same time

although they have their own family drivers, their parents would let them ride together when going out, with whoever's driver they want.

close as they seem but they don't get to interact in school that much. haechan and renjun are classmates, but it's still different without areum.
