Millie had just finished maths class with miss Sherman and was heading to her locker. She put the digit into the lock and opened up the door, When she felt something hit the back of her head.
"nah nah hey mills still day dreaming about Eric, why don't you go fly with him, oh wait he left sorry Mills". Millie hears Mona and her gang of friends laughing and high five-ing one another behind her back. This had been going on for the same 4 years Eric left to fly off to who knows where. Millie felt deeply hurt for the last 4 years after Eric flew away, hurt like nothing ever before.
She held back her tears and tried nothing but to forget about Eric, when they first met, when she helped out with Eric at school, the kiss that felt so right and how he left her heart broken because of his retreat. She tried to forget she really did but nothing worked ,she just missed him so damn much.
Millie ran to the gyms changing rooms realising she was late and that no one else except her was in the corridor.She enters the change rooms and goes over to a lone storage locker.She put her stuff in to the locker, got changed into her gym clothes and exited into the the gym.
Walking into the Gym she firstly before anything else eyes the location of the first memory of interaction with Eric.the benches had always stood out alone because that was always where Eric sat.sadness and guilt came over Millie lightning her lips together and bowing her head down.
Would it have been better if she had never helped out with Eric, she thinks.After all he would still be here if she hadn't got to know him.But the instatude would have still tried hunting him down. Wouldn't they?.Millie starts feeling guilty and selfish.she starts to question her right to have acted.
"Why should i just stand here a blaming Eric for everything thats gone wrong and start feeling sorry for myself".She says
"MILLIE".Mrs.D'Gregario shouts out running from the other end of the Basket ball court.
"Sorry Mrs".
"Millie you were thinking about Eric again weren't you?"Mrs.D'Gergario says, hands on her hips
"sorry Mrs".Millie mumbles bowing her hand again
"Millie, look you've got to learn to forget about Eric, so you helped him, taught him some stuff, could understand him and flew with him but you gotta forget about him, He was just a boy, he..."
"Nah uh he was not he may have just been a boy but he was a boy who was my friend!"Millie interrupts Mrs.D'Gergario
