Chapter 2

"Who was that on the phone?" asks dad on me. "Well that was Declan Donnely from the TV show Prince Charming that I'm participating in. He called to give me all of the information about the recordings and the participants, I'll get everything forwarded by the e-mail." I say to my parents. When I just told my parents the e-mail came in. "Oh here is the e-mail already! Come then I'll explain everything to you." I say and call my parents to me. "Pff do we have to.... I told you that you can't participate." says Dad to me. "But Dad I can't unsubcribe me anymore otherwise I have to pay a fine." I lie to my Dad. Mum sees that I lie, but says nothing about it. 'Lucky' I think to myself. "Well okay then you can join the TV show, but don't come back crying when you get out first." says dad. "No I won't come back crying!" I say to my parents. 'Who knows, maybe I will stay til the final' I think to myself. "Well then I will explain to you what is written in the e-mail of Declan." I say to my parents. "Okay honey what's in it?" my mother asks me. I tell them what's in the e-mail and luckily they understand, because yes, I am not very good at translating English sentences haha.

"Mom, Dad, I would like to visit Grandpa before I leave. Can you arrange that?" I ask my parents. (Grandpa lives in a nursing home)
"Ofcourse dear, your father will tell it to the other ones." my mother says to me. "Thank you so much I love you!" "And we love you honey!" my father says back to me. "Honey tomorrow we can go to grandpa." Daddy says to me. 'Fortunately then I can still see him before I leave' I think to myself. "What time are we going to see him?" I ask Dad. "Shall we go at 2 o'clock, I think he will have slept." Daddy says to me. "Yes that's OK!" I say to Dad. "Well I'm going to sleep, sweetheart and see you tomorrow." I say to my parents. "Sleep tight!" my parents say in turn.

dream:
"Honey, I don't have much longer, make sure that the nice guy you're going to in 3 weeks. Will stay with you forever. He's a keeper! Even though he has a busy job, you will overcome this. I know. certainly!!!" grandpa says to me. "But grandpa you can't go yet! I can't miss you!" I cry to my grandfather. "Honey, before the year is over, I will be back with grandma, and then we will look over your shoulders together." grandpa says to me.

Suddenly I wake up crying. "Wow this was so realistic ... hopefully Dad will stay with me all the time tomorrow because I don't want this to be true .." I think to myself.

"Come along, honey, we'll go to grandpa!" Dad calls to me. "Yes, I am on my way!" I call back. We walk to the car together and get in. "Dad will you be there all the time? When we're with grandpa?" I ask Dad. "Of course darling, but what's going on?" Dad asks me. "Oh nothing Dad, I was just wondering." I say / lie to dad. 

15 minutes later
"Hi Grandpa, how are you?" I ask Grandpa. "Who are you? Peter who have you with you?" Grandpa asks me and Dad. "Grandpa, it's Jessie." I say and take off my mask, because now with corona everyone has to put on a mask when they visit someone. "Oh sorry Jessie, I didn't recognize you with that thing on your nose." Grandpa says to me. "It's okay Grandpa, that's now with those things then you don't recognize anyone." I say to my Grandpa so that he doesn't feel bad. "Grandpa we came today because I have news that I would really like to tell you about before the others of the family will tell you that." I say to my Grandpa. "Oh what news do you have for me Jessie?" grandpa asks me. "Well grandpa I'm going to England in 3 weeks to participate in a TV program.
"I'll go get a drink, I'll be right back!" Dad says and walks away to get a drink. "Oh but I already knew that, Jessie .. You told me that last night when you were here." grandpa says to me. I look at Grandpa in alarm. "I can't grandpa, I just lay in bed last night." I say to Grandpa "Well I went to see you anyway." Grandpa says to me. "But Grandpa can't ... or was that dream really real?" I ask Grandpa. "Yes Jess that dream was real, I'll be with Grandma soon." Grandpa says to me. At that moment Dad walked in with something to drink for us.

After visiting Grandpa:
"And was Grandpa happy for you that you're gonna join that program?" Dad asks me. "Yes he was very happy and proud of me that I was going to do this." I say to Dad without mentioning that dream. "Well honey 10 more days until you have to go to England so shall we make an appointment at the test street for a corona test?" Dad asks me. "Yes I already made an appointment. I have to be there in 15 minutes so could you bring me?" I ask Dad. "Yes, where should I drive?" Dad asks. I give him the address and we drive to the test street. "Well, hopefully I'll be back in 15 minutes, so see you soon Dad!" I say to Dad and open the door. I get out of the car, close the door and enter the test street. " Hello, I am Jessie van de Berg and I am coming for the corona test." I say to the woman at the door. "Aaah yes, here you are, you can go to booth 4." the woman says to me. "Thank you!" 'Well this is the number of Lando's F1 car, could this be a coincidence?' I think to myself. "Good afternoon Mrs. van de Berg, have you ever done a corona test?" the nurse asks me. "Unfortunately I had to do it before, yes." I say to the nurse. "Then at least I don't have to explain to you what's going to happen. Would you please blow your nose for me? "The nurse asks me. I blow my nose for him and he does the test for me." Well madam you will get the results in 1 hour. " "Aaah yes here you are, you can go to booth 4." the woman says to me. "Thank you!" "Hey that's Lando's F1 car number, could this be a coincidence?" I think to myself. "Good afternoon, Mrs. van de Berg, have you ever taken a corona test before?" the nurse asks me. "Unfortunately I have had to do it before, yes." I say to the nurse. "Well then at least I don't have to explain to you what's going to happen. Would you blow your nose for me?" the nurse asks me. I blow my nose on him and he does the test on me. "Well madam you will get the results in 1 hour." says the "Aaah yes here you are, you can go to booth 4." the woman says to me. "Thank you!" I blow my nose on him and he does the test on me. "Well madam you will get the results in 1 hour." says the Well then at least I don't have to explain to you what's going to happen. Would you like to blow your nose for me? "The nurse asks me. I blow my nose for him and he does the test for me." Well, ma'am, you will get the results in 1 hour. " Well then at least I don't have to explain to you what's going to happen. Would you like to blow your nose for me? "The nurse asks me. I blow my nose for him and he does the test for me." Well, ma'am, you will get the results in 1 hour. " says the nurse to me. "Oh that is soon. Have a nice day!" I say to him. "Thank you, have a nice day too!" the nurse says back. I follow the arrows and go to the car. "Well let's go so I can take a paracetamol for the headache that I'm going to get right away." I say to Dad, and we leave for home. 

1 hour later

"Dad, Mom I got the results of the corona test!" I shout to my parents. "And what's the result, Jess?" Mom asks. "Well we don't have to go into quarantine, because I don't have a corona so I can go on a trip in 10 days." I say happily to my parents. "Well, Jess, you have to do another test in 9 days before you board the plane." Dad says to me. "Yes dad I know, but if I had it now I was not allowed to participate in the program. But I will stay at home these 9 days." I say to Dad. "Good Jess, but then nobody can come here, right?" Dad says. "Yeah dad I know." I say.
