Chaptet 19 A GIFT

My mind is kind of messed up now.
This is a short chapter, so sorry.

Third person pov

After the talk,they went by the train to south , now at  Hailey apartment parking lot.

Mike and hailey greeted uncle Ben ( apartment guard) and they were walking towards the entrance, Parker and stephan were out of the apartment and was now in their car.

Mike stopped Hailey by holding her hands, who was walking before him.
She stopped walking and turned to Mike, she had a confused expression but was soon replaced with smile.
She didn't push Mike hands away just let him hold it.
They were standing facing each other and there was a comfortable silence with both, they had a good time looking each other.

"Hailey, I think, I should leave now," he said with a low tone, that he was not wanting to say it at all.

Hailey got a bit sad as her smile was slowly fading,    "hmm..mike why don't we have dinner together in my apartment, I can cook for us," she said it a pleading tone.

Mike was feeling happy hearing that but he had to return to know what happened, he also don't think he can handle being with Hailey alone, because the faint feeling he had in the beginning had got more like he can't be alone with her.

Because he doesn't want to spoil what they have right now. He was really excited to eat with Hailey but he know this is not the right time.
After he knows how he is tempted when Hailey is too near him, it took his all self control. He understood it is definitely not same anymore.

"Hailey, sorry I need to return, I have some work left back, can we do it some other time." Mike said to Hailey who looked still disappointed.

"Sorry, I know you are busy, I think I took too much of your time, but thank you I had a lot of fun today." Hailey said with a low tone, looking down.

Mike looked at Hailey and he thought, he had made her sad.
At that time he didn't think anything, he just took Hailey face in his hand to look at him.
" hey, listen, I am not saying you took my time, I had as fun as you, I just had some urgent thing calling up now. I loved the whole day I spend with you. Don't feel okay, I will make up to you if you want, we can go out again," he said with squishing her face and shaking her face in his hands.

Hailey was getting embarrassed at the same time blushing by what he is doing to her.
After seeing Hailey reaction, Mike looked at her face, coming to sense of what he is doing and stopped shaking Hailey head. He looked at her eyes and she did the same, they both were lost in moment with Mike hands on Hailey cheek.
When a sudden phone ring made them snap out of it. They moved away from each other.

It was Hailey mobile, she took it and saw the caller ID shocked hesitation, before she could answer it the call went off. She was contemplating what to say.
They were in awkward silence.
"Hailey, then see you later" Mike broke the silence and gave the shopping bags to her.

Hailey took the bags and gave a small bag back to him, " i bought this for you, I hope you like them," she gave it, as she was blushing.

Mike took the bag and looked in, there was a small box in it, he opened the black box and there was bracelet all in black chain, it looked flashy .
he took it out and smiled looking at it.
he extended it to Hailey.

Hailey was looked at him and bracelet for a second, "can you put it on my wrist?" He asked showing the bracelet in his palm.

She took it from him, she latched it on his right wrist and smiled with satisfaction, Mike looked at his wrist and smiled and then placed the box inside the bag.

"Then,..... bye Hailey, see you later" he said with a smile.

Hailey waved at him, "okay,  see you Mike, text me when you reach home okay," she said smiling, when Mike just looked at her for a second and waved back and started his car and left the place.

Hailey sigh and went inside her apartment.
She took her phone and remembered the missed call and dialed the caller ID back. The ring went on and the caller picked up.

"Hel...hello ....." Hailey answered with hesitation.
"Hailey, what are you doing? Who is the boy with you today?" The person on other end spoke in an angry tone.
