au: you are a princess wanting to run away from your home after being put into an arranged marriage
--------------------------------------------------------
"You will be marrying this boy, y/n!" Your mother yelled slamming the door to your room, leaving you angry and in tears.
You slammed your fist on your bed repeatedly, "No no no no no NO!"
Your hand hit the bed one last time before you dropped your head and your legs gave out, your knees hitting the floor with a thud as you sobbed against your sheets. None of this was fair, why did you have to marry some random guy? You didn't even want to be a princess and yet here you were? Why couldn't you have just been born a commongirl?
You shook your head, standing up with a new feeling of determination. You weren't gonna take this, this was your life, not hers. You ran to your balcony peering over it. The height was about 5 stories high but you felt adrenaline pumping in you, driving out all fear. You grabbed some sheets and began to knot them together tying it to the leg of your bed.
You tied enough where you could have a pretty safe drop to the balcony beneath yours. You didn't know who's room that was but it didn't matter right now as this was all that your mind was focused on. Once ready you ripped the bottom of your dress and dropped down on the rope of sheets.
You swung for a second looking at the balcony floor beneath you and let go of your makeshift rope. You landed, a slight pain shooting through your left leg as you landed on both feet and your hands on the ground to steady yourself. You smiled and stood up, brushing your dress off and feeling relieved.
"Wow, a knock would have been nice."
You heard a deep voice state, startling you. You looked up to see a tall handsome man with long pink hair kept back with a golden head piece. He had a white button up tucked into black pants and a red cape that sat nicely on his shoulders. He was cleaning up a crossbow while an axe sat on the bed. "haha... sorry." You nervously laughed rubbing the back of your neck.
"So when did it start raining princesses?" He chuckled, his golden eyes honed in on you. You attempted eye contact but those eyes were so intimidating, you couldn't hold his gaze.
You laughed, "Guess the forecast was incorrect again."
He smiled as you once again met his eyes. They seemed to soften but you could see the malice in them. "Well princess, how can I help you?"
You quirked an eyebrow, confused on why he was helping you instead of running to get your mother. "Well first off, who are you?"
"Kind of offended." He said laughing and jokingly putting his hand to his chest. "I'm the army general, Techno also known as 'The Blade'"
Your eyes widened, the blade? As in the one in your dads army? You had heard stories about this guy all your life but you had never actually seen him. He was a lot younger then you thought he would be.
"Yeah I know, surprising." He laughed.
"How old are you?" You asked in awe.
"Wow very rude. I'm 21." He said stepping closer to you, placing the crossbow on the bed next to the axe.
"Wow ok, I'm sorry for my manners but I didn't expect 'The Blade' to be only three years older then me.."
"Thank you?"
"Never mind that, Mr. Blade, how much do I have to pay you to forget I was ever here?" You pleaded looking into his eyes hoping you could strike a deal. You felt your heart drop, if he didn't agree there was no getting out of this. His eyes didn't change as he just stared at you with his mischievous smirk.
"Mr. Blade... huh... I don't like it, call me Techno and you don't have to pay me anything but I do have one condition."
You felt your stomach twirl more. Damn it, this is gonna be harder then you thought. "Yes. What is it?"
"Let me come with you."
"What?"
"You heard me."
"You want to come with me?! You don't want to go tell my parents and be rewarded?"
"I have been rewarded all my life, princess, money doesn't mean shit to me. But treason and running away? That is my cup of tea."
You stared at him wide-eyed, he is much crazier the you thought but you actually... really liked him. "Well lucky for you, it's mine as well." You looked up at him with a smile, "So you can help me?"
"Of course I can, you just have to trust me." He smiled walking up to you. He stood over you, about a foot taller then you, looking down. "Can you trust me, princess?"
You smiled, holding eye contact while you looked up at him, "I can."
