Sunday Dinner

Kay

"Dear Heavenly Father, as we leave this place but never from your presence, watch over and protect us and let us be excited about doing your will in Jesus name we pray, and we all say Amen." Once the pastor said the prayer everyone was hugging and talking.

"I'm glad that y'all made it on this beautiful Sunday" my mom said pulling me into a hug.

"Yeah I told you I was coming, service was good I really needed that".

"Momma Vicky church service was off the chain, I was really feeling the spirit. So you cooking once you get home". I just shook my head at CJ.

"Yes actually I am so all of you guys come by the house" my momma said then left.

"That's what I'm talking about leave church and head over to momma Vicky house to have Sunday dinner, Kay your mom is so nice".

"That's ashame you only came to church cause you knew my mom was gonna cook, plus you was sleep half way through the service".

"Nah don't even fake on me Kay I was paying attention, I had to rest my eyes for a bit. I would've been better if I went with Kalonnie to the children church".

"Whatever, I'm finna go get her now so we all can head out" I left him to go get Lonnie from the little children church they have for the younger kids.

CJ

"Aye you seen Kay"? Justin come asking me.

"She went to go get Lonnie, and we all heading over to her mom's house to eat".

"That's all you think about is food".

"Yeah yeah yeah, anyway I'm about to go get Tori away from those so call Deacons".

One thing I don't like about people in the church is they always wanna hug you and kiss you on the cheek, I don't like that I have enough demons I don't need their rubbing off on me either.

"You ready to go" I grab Tori hand and look at the two deacons.

"Yeah I'm ready" she say then I let her walk first then I went behind her, they ain't gonna be looking at her ass not in the house of God.

"Where we going next, out to eat or what" Tori say buckling up her seatbelt.

"Kay momma cooking so we heading over there, by the way I haven't seen Aug or Jay did you"?

"Yeah but they end up leaving before church was over, I'm quite sure they'll be over Ms. Vicky house".

While I was driving my phone was ringing, I glance at it to see Yas calling. I don't know what she calling for but I don't have time for her right now, it's bad enough I didn't tell Tori and I wasn't planning on telling her either.

Tori

We met up with Kay at her mom house, while Ms. Vicky was preparing the food we all sat in the front room talking until my phone start ringing.

I got up and went outside to answer the call.

"Hello"?

"Hey best friend, its been a minute since I heard from you" the voice sounded  to familiar.

"I know this ain't who I think it is".

"Yes the one and only".

"Yasmine"?

"Girl yes, I miss you girl what you been up to".

"Now you had my number you just never use it, I haven't been doing nothing lately just living".

"Same here, I'm not gonna keep you long. We should hangout sometimes and catch up".

"I'll hold you to it" I ended the call and went back into the house to see Kalonnie little arms around CJ neck.

I swear he always getting harass by Kalonnie. "Kay, Tori would y'all come help me set the table" Ms. Vicky shouted in the kitchen.

Kay and I went to go set the table while she was still in the kitchen.

"You heard from Jay" I ask Kay.

"No, but I did see her at church. I'll call her once we get through setting the table".

We finish setting the table and went to go wash our hands, as I was looking in the mirror I look down at my stomach to see a little pudge. I noticed I  been picking up weight but I can always hit the gym. "Come on baby we waiting on you, I'm ready to throw down" I roll my eyes at what CJ said, I left out the bathroom and went to go sit with everyone else at the table.
