The taxi arrived and they hurried to get in before they got soaked. "Where too?" The driver asked with a smile.

Hawk pulled a card from his pocket, making sure Kimmy couldn't see it and handed it to the driver. "This is the place." Hawk said and held his finger to his lips.

"Yes sir." He said as he gave Hawk a nod and a wink. Kimmy looked at Hawk with a raised brow and pushed her lips to make it look like she was pouting.

"Don't look so sour, when we get there I'll bet you will get happy." Hawk said with a grin on his face.

"This isn't fair, I'm the one who's supposed to be giving the orders." Kimmy said as her bottom lip stuck out even further.

"You look so sour you could be lemonade." Hawk said with a chuckle.

Kimmy's face twisted into one of shock. "Oh you didn't just say that." Kimmy said as she slapped Hawk on the shoulder. Their attention was caught by the drivers chuckling and they looked at him with raised brows.

The driver noticed and stopped laughing as they looked at him. "Sorry, but you too remind me of a married couple." He said, trying not to laugh about it. Hawk and Kimmy look at each other with a bit of shock.

"Keep on dreaming Hawk." Kimmy said she glared at him. Hawk didn't know how to reply so he just sent back and waited for them to get to their destination.

"Suddenly you're being awful quiet?" Kimmy said as she looked at him. Hawks mouth curled at the edge, as he watched Kimmy from the corner of his eye. This was the best idea I ever come up with, Hawk thought as he tried to keep from smil- ing ear to ear.

Kimmy was about to say something, when the cab suddenly slowed down and pulled up next to the curb. Kimmy looked up at a red brick building with mirror glass and a black with gold trim door. Above the place stood a red sign with cursive black letters that spelled out Maxwell's on it.

Hawk paid the cab fare and they stepped out onto the Kimmy glared at Hawk as if he was up to something. "What do you think you're up to?" She asked as he escorted her into the place. Cherry red walls with black trim, gave way to a burgundy carpet which covered the floor.

Old pictures of movie stars, musicians and other famous people hung on the walls. Small lights embedded in the ceiling gave a dim light to a romantic atmos- phere and made Kimmy without a sigh.

The waiters were dressed in tux with tails, well the waitresses were dressed in black maid like dresses that fell to their knees. The mahogany tables and chairs sat at intervals around the room in a small counter set by the front door. A service window sat on the far wall next to a black swinging door that opened both opened into the kitchen.

"May I be your service?" A waiter said as he stepp- ed up towards them with a straight face and a stiff posture.

"Reservation for Hawk." Hawk said to the waiter with a straight face as well. Kimmy fought hard to keep the giggle that threatened to leap out of her mouth from getting out.

The waiter looked at them with a raised brow and wondered if they had made a mistake. "This way please." He said and she picked up two menus and escorted them to a table. He sat the menus on the table and helped Kimmy into her seat. "Your waitress will be with you in a moment." He said before he took his leave.

Hawk looked up at Kimmy and saw the strange look on her face. "Is there a problem?" Hawk asked with a rais- ed brow.

Kimmy forced herself to settle down before she spoke. "The way you replied to the waiter made me want to laugh, I tried my best to hold it in there so it wouldn't embarrass us." Kimmy said in a low voice.

"Really, I'm totally appalled at your reaction." Hawk said with a feigned shock on his face.

"Oh, you cheeky little pervert." Kimmy said in a liw voice and a grin on her face.

Their attention shifted as their waitress stepped up to their table. "What do you wish to eat?" She said to them with a smile. "Oh this lemon chicken looks good, a salad and an iced tea will do for me." Kimmy said with a smile.

"I'll have fish and chips with a Coke." Hawk said with a smile.

The waitress frowned at Hawk with an arched brow. "This is not a seafood restaurant, much less a fast food restaurant." She said in an irritated tone.

Kimmy's hand shot to her mouth covering it up as she struggled to keep from laughing. "Oh, I'm so terribly sorry. I suppose I would like to try your fettuccine and an iced tea." Hawk said with a straight face once again. The waitress picked up the menus and made her way to the service window to put their order in.

I could see water runn- ing down Kimmy's cheeks, as she held her hand over her mouth and her face flushed a little pink. "Just what do you find so amusing?" Hudson with a straight face. Everyone stopped what they were doing and all the heads turned towards their table has Kimmy broke out in a fit of giggles.

When Kimmy realized that everyone was staring at her, her face turned redder than it was. "I'm going to get even with you Hawk." Kimmy said as she glared at him.

"I would like to see you try that in the middle of the this restaurant." Hawk said with a smile on his face.

The waitress brought them their drinks and soon after returned with their food and placed it on their table. "Thank yooooou!" Hawk gasped as he felt something press against his groin. The waitress looked at him strangely and then noticed the bulge in his pants.

"What a pervert." She said in disgust, turning around and storming away from the table. Hawks face turn bright red and he cleared that Kimmy with a frown on his face.

The rest of the meal went without any other alter- cations and when they were done, a man in a blue suit brought them their bill. "Wow, that's some pricey food." Kimmy said with a low whistle.

"I came prepared " Hawk said as he put the money on the bill and placed five dollars on the middle of the table.

"Thank you folks for dinning with us, but I think it would be best if you didn't return to my restaurant." He said taking the money and walking away.

"Well I never have been treated so brashly in my life, I will never done in this place again!" Hawk said as he grabbed Kimmy's hand and they walked out the door with their noses in the air. Everyone watched as they stormed out of the restaurant, all their faces etched with a shocked look.

When Hawk and Kimmy got outside, Kimmy doubled over in laughter as Hawk chuckled at her reaction. "I...It's...al... always...f...fun...wh...when...y...you...a...are...a... around." Kimmy said between gasps as tears ran down her cheeks in streams.

After Kimmy regained control of herself, Hawk started walking down the street with Kimmy beside him. "Where are we going?" Kimmy asked as they walked.

"Oh, I don't know, I thought I might go and torment a shop keeper." Hawk said with a smile on his face.

"I think you had enough fun for today." Kimmy said with a grin. "let's go watch a movie instead." She said.

"Well I guess that would be fine." Hawk said to her. "What should we go see?" He asked as they continued down the street.

"Well there's this movie called Summer Days that I would like to see." Kimmy replied. It wasn't long before they arived at the Metro One and looked at the movies playing.

"It starts in two minutes, let's go inside and see what they have at the snack bar." Hawk said as he paid the man for the tickets. The lobby of the theater had oakwood walls and a red carpet stretched across the floor.

A wood counter stood against one wall and it had a red countertop. A cash register set on one side of the counter, a few feet away stood a large popcorn machine and three different sized popcorn containers. Underneath and on the counter were several different kinds of candy displayed.

Hawk and Kimmy stood looking and everything they had to offer, as they waited in line. "I hope this doesn't take too long." Kimmy said as the line moved slowly.

"I'm sure there's enough time for us to get what we want before the movie starts." Hawk said to her.
