Freddie boy,

I know you're still up, meet me in the stairwell. Now. Bring George if he's awake, if not leave him.

Quietly sliding the small red envelope beneath the door Arabella moved silently to the lower floors of the burrow her grey eyes filled with excitement. She had just received a letter from Larken, its contents almost made Arabella spiral into a fit of cheers before she realized she needed to stay quiet. She wasn't home, in fact, she hadn't been back to the Silvercrest Chateau in about a year. She was so grateful for the Weasleys offering to take her in if she needed a place to stay. The last thing she wanted to do was wake her gracious hosts, especially at this hour. She took a seat on the staircase her skin touching the cool surface of the wood taking in the homey surroundings around her. It was so unlike what she had been raised in. The Chateau was cold, dark, and anything from a home. This was lived in. This had stories bled into the very walls around her. The very spot she sat at. There had to be echoes of so many happy memories.

How she longed to be able to read them. To hear about every single time the twins pulled a prank, how many times Molly had to break apart an argument between siblings and how she never laid a hand on them. How Arthur kissed his wife and children before leaving to work. The first tooth lost, their first summer home. She was so lost in thought she was absentmindedly tracing her fingers across the groves of the stairs and it brought a smile to her face. Her attention shifted when she heard a creak behind her only to see warm brown eyes and a freckled face.

"Hello there." she smiled back, he moved to the side to sit beside her a yellow blanket wrapped around his shoulders his hair a wild mess.

"What's so important you couldn't wait till tomorrow?" he sounded tired but she was beaming.

"Only our biggest prank to date Freddie, look alive."
