So, Ms Hussai began... First off, please seat down.
Thank you, we all chorused.
Well, Ms Hussai continued, I was minding my business ( like some of us should, she said under her breath) when I got a distress call from one of the precious board members of this noble school asking and I quote "I want those hooligans to be brought to justice"; but seeing that my school has no hooligan whatsoever present with us, I couldn't help but ask him to come over to my office to point out the "hooligans" (she air quoted).
Ms Hus... Sandra began but the dear Principal wasn't ready for the drama queen to steal her spotlight just yet and so she shushed Sandra who got red in the face immediately.
Ina and I had to hide our grins while Sandra's dad starts to shift uncomfortably in his seat.
As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted, Ms Hussai said. She heaved a heavy sigh before she proceeded to ask Mr Maxwell Wannabe what his complain against us was all about.
At the mention of Mr Maxwell's surname, Ina snorted loudly and I had to look down to avoid laughing out loud. Sandra had a murderous look in her eyes as if threatening us to make fun of her surname but the mischievous part of me couldn't stop a cheshire cat's smile from spreading over my face and she grew as pale as a ghost because she knew I'm never gonna let her hear the end of it.
Well, He began, I was at work when my princess right here called to tell me that these two had taken over the table she used to seat at for lunch and when she politely asked them to leave, they boldly refuse and even told her that she looked like a toad, he finished by giving us a stink eye and Ina shrunk into the chair she was sitting in.
They did lie about her looking like a toad but she does act like one, Ms Hussai thought out loud and Ina and I actually hooted like the hooligans the other two present said we were but we soon regained composure when Mr Maxwell suddenly stood up from his chair with his face looking as red as a tomato.
How dare you? He asked Ms Hussai and she looked so calm and collected as she asked him to take his seat or else she'll dismiss him thus making his complain against us futile.
Mr Maxwell looked us all in the eyes one after the other before he sat down and his "princess" was nearly in tears as though she knew she had already lost.
Seeing as Mr Wannabe has calmed down, let's continue; Ms Hussai said. Turning to me, she asked me to tell her my side of the story as it'll be best to listen to each of our sides of the story.
Ma'am, I started, after you dismissed us from the school arena earlier today, Ina and I decided to seat at the table in the middle of the cafeteria to have our lunch but alas we couldn't get a moment of peace as Sandra and her sidekicks pulled up on us and she started yelling at us to get up. It was embarrassing really so I asked her if her father was a carpenter or something that probably made her the said table that is hers to keep but she told me that her dad is part of the board members of this school and she's gonna show me that I shouldn't mess with people like her (I finished rather dramatically)
Ms Hussai heaved a heavy sign and asked Ina for her side of the story, to which Ina pointed out that her story is the same as mine.
Well, Ms Hussai said, this is easy enough to settle. She turned to Sandra and said, your dad didn't put no specific chair or table here that belongs to you and you alone so stop bullying your fellow pupils for chairs and tables that are not yours. So, we're dismissed.
Mr Maxwell grimaced at all of us in the room and as he stood to get his bag, Sandra asked her dad why did he did nothing to stop her "humiliation" as she puts it but his mouth remained open as he couldn't under what he just witnessed.
He turned to say something but Ms Hussai beat him to it and said; a word of advice from principal to board member, tell your daughter to stop pestering her fellow pupils as today isn't the first time the two of you are here for something of a similar sort but today's the first anyone has won against her and Lana here (she gestures to me), is one of the shareholders of this school and I know you wouldn't wanna lose the position of a board member that you've fought so hard to achieve just for the sake of petty quarrels that your "princess" drag you into. Thank you all for your time and good evening to you all.
We all exited her office in a single file. Mr Maxwell was soon out of earshot but Sandra was taking slow steps as if she was patiently waiting to scoop up any piece of information Ina and I had to share in the hallway and so I used the opportunity to taunt her again. Turning to Ina I said, isn't it pathetic how we waste so much time on certain people and in the end they prove that they weren't even worth a second of it? Sandra stopped in her tracks and turned to say something to us.
