Chapter 2: Set free

You know everyone has their monster, for me now that i'm no longer human and filled with power i have yet to explore that monster is free and is one with me.

I found a drunk man moving funnily in the street, he reeked of alcohol from a mile a way but that was due to my heightened sense of smell, i followed him and once he was about to pass an alley, i went for his neck and pulled him to the alley, i held him up and my ability in the back of my head kept screaming at me to take it apart and understand its working and it felt more like an obsession but not mine instead it came directly from my ability, the need to understand how this human's body works, its biology and the such but fought the urge to and just snapped the man's neck and took his clothes off and wore them, jeans, t-shirt and a leather jacket and boots, i looked at the jacket's pockets and found his id and some cash.

"Thank you William for the clothes," I said and disappeared from the alley.

I ran towards the outskirts of the city to the forests, I wanted to test my capabilities. I arrived in no time at all and the first thing I did was try to pluck a tree from the ground and was successful.

I spent the whole night in that forest plucking trees from the ground throwing them around, testing my speed, sense such as hearing, smelling and all that stuff, i didn't get the desire to sleep at all but just as the sun came it was too bright i covered my eyes until eventually i adjusted to the light and an intense desire to eat came to me, i sped towards the city and went to get some fast food.

Just as i sat in a park and took a bite of my food, i spit it out, it taste like shit, not that i ever tasted shit but you know it tasted disgusting, the hunger was still there and i could feel it building up in my chest them a burning sensation in my throat came after that, that is when my hearing focused on a beating heart i looked up from my seat and saw a young women going on her business, all i could hear is her heart beating, my ability pushed a recommendation to me, blood is the answer so all i could look at her veins pumping blood and i was drooling.

That is when it hit me, I found my kind of food.

I followed her and made myself not known, when I couldn't bear it any longer I sped and snatched her up in the streets that are still a bit empty at this time of day.

She screamed that's what, i stopped in a place that seemed abandoned, i took in her appearance and that's when i found out she passed out and that is to be expected since i ran at a speed i imagine a human can't bear, i pulled her throat closer to me and hugged her to my chest tightly, i could feel my teeth changing then i plunged them to her neck there i controlled my feeding pace freely, i was done when there was no longer anything to drain, i let the body go landing quiet painfully on the ground if she was still alive that is.

I licked my lips making sure no blood was obvious on them, then I left the area. The blood tasted great but it wasn't satisfying, I could feel I needed something more so my ability gave me yet another recommendation, 'meat'.
