I woke up to Leigh tapping my shoulder, telling me to get up as she was bored and we were landing in about 30 minutes.

"Cammy, please, I don't know how much longer I can sit still." She said, clearly impatient. I looked at her with a very unpleased look and yawned while I started to stretch and actually wake up fully.

"God, Leigh, you're a child, you know that."

"Yes, I do know, everyone does." She responded.

And then something else happened, honestly expected at this point.

"Seriously, Camille, stating the obvious now are we, well how useful are you then." Jade, of course, said. Though still not making eye contact with me, she takes every chance she can get to throw an insult my way.

"Fuck off, you little shit. So unnecessary innit." I replied looking straight into her eyes. She looked back out the window, luckily not taking it any further.

It was the little things. Always the little things. The dreadful, horrible little things that she does and says that pierces me right in my heart, and it hurts like hell. I still have no clue what I had done that flipped a switch in her head making her suddenly hate me. It all happened too fast, I don't even remember how, I just know that she started treating me like shit completely out of the blue. No explanation.

All I wanted to do was make her love me again. Tolerate me, at the least. I just wanted my best friend back, though it feels like the girl I once knew is getting further and further away, slipping through my fingers just like that. It physically breaks my heart knowing that I don't have her anymore.

I relied on her for everything, even now, I'm scared she might be the only person in the world that could bring me back if I suddenly went off the deep end. Through all the shit that she put me through, I still manage to be completely devoted to her. I just want her back. I just want Jade back.

The landing announcement woke me out of my thoughts, bringing me back to reality. I looked around, Leigh bouncing in the seat next to me, Perrie and Jade across from us, and Jesy in front of them. I looked out my window, seeing Boston in its stunning nighttime glory. It was about 8:30 pm now, and the airport and city looked beautiful with their dazzling lights and iridescent glow.

As we walked through the airport, we started to see a few paps start to come toward us, to which our bodyguards started to get ready to shield us from them. We continued making our way outside to the large suv waiting for us, while more paps started swarming. What happened next completely caught me off guard, and although it probably doesn't sound like a huge deal, it's still somewhat scary when you're in the moment.

While we were walking outside, paps were lined up on either side of us. I was in front when I suddenly heard a small geordie sounding yelp from behind me, only to see that one of the paps had wrapped his arm around Jade.

"Get your fucking hands off me!" I heard her yell amongst all the screaming.

And without hesitation, I walked up to him, looked him dead in the eye, "You fucking asshole, it should take you about four seconds to get to the door, and I'm gonna be kind enough to give you two." and I don't believe I have ever said anything with such passion.

The man finally let go and walked away, before security grabbed him, but what caught my attention was the fact that Jade was practically burning a hole in my head with her stare at me.

"Um, are you, ya know, okay, like did he hurt you or anything?" I stuttered out while making consistent eye contact with someone who hasn't dared to look at me in months.

"Oh, uh, yea, I-I think so yeah."

"Okay, then uh, let's just,- let's just go then." I let out and swallowed hard at what had just happened.

When we sat in the car, I couldn't possibly think of anything other than the former situation. No pap had ever gotten like that with us, and for it to happen to Jade broke my heart. Although, part of me is mad at myself for sticking up for her, on the surface I know that she didn't deserve my defending her, but deep down, I can't imagine doing anything different.
