Six

The conversation never seemed to die they both felt as though they could talk to each other forever.

Charlie had grown some confidence and was now playing with David's hand in hers, she was drawing non existent patterns thinking she was the only one with that bubbly feeling in her gut.
Her hand snatched away and the conversation was soon interrupted buy David's front door slamming and multiple voices heading there way.

"Charlie" zane yelled coming into the living room and pulling her into a small hug.
"Zane" she cheered back making him chuckle.
David moved next to her so everyone could sit on the sofa. She already knew Jason, Zane, Jeff and Natalie however there were a few people there who she didn't recognise.

"Oh hi you must be charlie, Zane hasn't stopped talking about you. I'm Heath" the first guy introduced himself before sitting down next to Zane.
The next to sit down was an overweight guy with short hair who didn't introduce himself, instead he kinda starred at charlie.
When David noticed he laughed "Jonah stop being weird, sorry he's not used to being around anyone of the opposite sex" David laughed making charlie and Jonah turn red.

Next was a couple the guy looked like if Jeff and David had a child and introduced himself as Todd and his girl friend stood pulling charlie into a hug "hi I'm corrina. Damn she is pretty" she laughed sitting next to Todd.
The last to walk in stopped behind her but she soon turned when he spoke "charlie Thomson."
Laughing she turned around and smiling at who was stood there "josh peck" she copied his tone as he walked up and hugged her. "It's been forever, how are you?" She asked sitting back next to David.

"I'm good we need to catch up soon though" he said sitting down next to zane.
She nodded in agreement, the conversation picked up and charlie felt awkward.
She barely knew half the people in the room and the ones she did know she didn't know well.

David could tell she was uncomfortable, she had told him about how she wasn't good in social situations so he couldn't help but feel guilty that he had gotten her into one.

The back of his palm stopped next to the side of Charlie's thigh. To anyone else I wouldn't have looked like anything but to them it was that small amount of contact they had been craving since there hands were separated.
It seemed to calm charlie down instantly relaxing her, David noticed this and smiled he hadn't realised she was craving his touch as much as he was craving hers.

"David how much more footage do you need" zane asked snapping them both back into reality.
"Um, I got quite a bit today so only a minute or two" he said glancing at charlie.

No seemed to notice how strange the two had been acting except the person who knew David the most, his best friend, his assistant.

Natalie had noticed something was going on the minute she walked in they both seemed jumpy and David didn't look happy they had been interrupted.
Plus David had blown off all of his friends this morning saying he had plans with charlie. It was no secret to anyone that seemed to drop everything when it came to charlie so she was surprised that he got any footage at all today.

"Is that your car out front" Todd asked bringing the whole groups attention to charlie.
"The Ferrari?" She ask nervously.
"No the Toyota" zane joked "of course the Ferraris hers, she too cool not to dive a Ferrari" everyone seemed to laugh at this.

"She let me drive it" David said smugly.
Jeff sat up in shock "the same Ferrari she almost killed me fir touching" he shouted and David nodded laughing.

"Yup she let me drive it" David boasted.
"You almost crashed it as well" she pointed out making everyone laugh and David roll his eyes.

"Natalies so jealous" Jeff laughed making Natalie flip him off "no shit it is a Ferrari".
"Sorry Nat she just likes me more" David said in a cocky voice making charlie raise an eyebrow at him. "What" he laughed seeing her smug face.
