The sky was darkening as it got later, the day had felt like it had gone too fast and neither really wanted to leave the other.
Neither charlie or David had said a word since they got in his car, he could tell she was more upset then she was letting on.
"You okay?" he flicked the car onto autopilot before turning to face her.

Charlie however kept her eyes on the road she knew the minute she looked at him she would breakdown. "Yea" she mumbled.
The Tesla pulled into Charlie's drive as the gates opened and David still watched charlie.

"Um thanks for the ride" she mumbled once the car parked, before he could say anything she got out of the car and speed walked to her door.
"Not so fast" she heard him say, he had gotten out of the car and chased her knowing something else was wrong.

She turned to him with trying to hold in the tears but they fell anyway, David didn't say anything for a second.
His eyes softened and he pulled charlie by her arms into a hug. They stood in the hug for a few seconds and when David pulled away slightly charlie dropped her head so he couldn't see her tears.

"What's really wrong" his voice was softer and it felt like he really cared. He tilted her head so she was facing him again and wiped her cheeks with his thumb.
"The car, it um. It was my mums" she whispered "after she died. I promised I would look after it" she voice faded off and tears began to spill again.

David pulled her into another tight hug and she cried slightly into his shoulder "it not your fault" he whispered to her and she shook her head.
"Natalie could've gotten really hurt, I should've warned her about the sticky pedal. I should've went and told Jason not to make her jump but I didn't think. I just wanted to talk to you but Natalie could've been hurt." She rambled not even realising what she was saying.

"Okay okay. Listen, Natalies ok and Jason is an idiot. He probably wouldn't have listened to you anyway, none of this is your fault. Anyway who wouldn't wanna stay and talk to me, I'm pretty amazing" David said smiling when he felt her laughing. "Come on, let's get you inside before your security think I'm trying to drug you or something" he laughed.

They went inside and charlie went straight to the fridge and got out two red bulls. She slid one across the kitten island and David caught it.

She pulled herself up onto the countertop sitting crossed legged facing David. He stood opposite her silently admiring each of her features, he didn't understand how someone so perfect could be hurting so much.

"What are you thinking about?" Charlie asked realising he had spaced out.
He hesitated before answering "nothing" he smiled which made her smile.
She narrowed her eyes, he was the worst liar "tell me" her eyes flickering between each of his as if trying to decide which she wanted to stare at both equally beautiful.

"I'll tell you if," he paused thinking for a second before a smug smile reached his lips and he took a step forward "if you sing me another one of your songs"

Charlie instantly froze, "nope, not a chance" she laughed nervously, He raised an eyebrow and narrowed his eyes taking another small step forward. "Why not. You sang in front of me earlier"
She thought for a second "yea but that was in a booth plus I had music playing"

David instantly laughed "okay so we're just gonna pretend you don't have a grand piano in your living room. And what's the difference, I like listening to you sing" the second he said this charlie knew she had lost. He gave her butterflies and if he wanted her to sing, she was gonna sing.

She rolled her eyes before jumping off the countertop and pulling him by the front of his t-shirt to her living room where her piano sat.
She pushed him backwards onto the sofa before taking a seat at the piano, "any suggestions" she asked trying not to smile at him.

"Anything written by you" he sat up slightly, he knew he would love anything she wrote.

Her hands hovered above the keys for a second before she started.
"I found a guy told me I was a star
He held the door held my hand in the dark
And he's perfect on paper But he's lying to my face
Does he think that I'm the kind of girl who needs to be saved"

As she sung David felt a warm feeling rush over his body, a feeling he hadn't felt in years. He stood, his eyes never leaving charlie, he's sat next to her on the piano bench watching her hands as they played.
Sooner than he liked the song was over although he didn't say anything, neither of them did.
They just sat staring at the keys on the piano neither wanted to ruin the moment.

Charlie was the first to react, simply resting her head on David's shoulder and closing her eyes.
Everything about him made her feel better, just being around him made her feel happier.
David moved and rested his head on hers, he too loved the other's company, this was different to when he hung out with his friends.

They sat like this for only a few minutes before Charlie's phone rang making them both jump. She picked it up and walked out of the room "hey Kim" he heard her say.
He didn't understand why he was being like this, even when he was in relationships he hadn't been like this.

Charlie laughed at something from the other room as he stood going towards the door and leaning on the frame waiting for her, she definitely didn't like him so David knew he had to get over this.
He heard her say goodbye and moved to behind the door waiting for her, she came in typing on her phone but froze confused when she couldn't she David.

She screamed as he jumped out and grabbed her from behind wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her off the ground. They both burst into laughter, David put her down on the sofa at the same time as Charlie's in home security Burst into the room with there hands on there guns ready to pull them out.
"No no" charlie shouted laughing still "it's okay he just made me jump, why don't you guys take off for the night. I've got the out house guy on all night anyway" she was still giggling as the security nodded leaving them again.

She turned to him and they both burst into laughter again. "Idiot. You know they carry guns right" she laughed making David laugh harder.
"I could've fully gotten shot" he laughed, smiling till his cheeks were hurting.

"The clickbait" charlie laughed making David laugh and pull her down as he tripped on the sofa falling.
They both lay on the sofa barely breathing because of how hard they were laughing, charlie rested her head on David's chest them both still giggling slightly.
She sat up tears staining her face from how much she had laughed, she wiped her cheeks with the back of her hands before looking down at David who lay next to her.

He was starring at her, her cheeks went pink as she realised how close they were. As much as she tried to look away she couldn't pull her eyes from David's as if they were in some sort of starring contest.
David's eyes flickered down to her lips for less than a second but charlie noticed it.
She copied his action as if asking for permission but was interrupted by David pulling her down towards him and pressing his lips on hers.

The kiss was sweet and short both of them pulling away blushing and smiling. Both has been waiting for this and neither regretted it.
David chuckled slightly as he pulled charlie into his chest wrapping his arms around her as she cuddled into his chest.

She hummed and lightly sang to herself as she cuddled into his chest listening to David's heart.
He fell asleep on her sofa with a smile on his face, charlie fell asleep soon after.
