The Frost Sprite

(I wanted to try something more on the fantasy side with this one, hope you enjoy.)

Kj looked around confused, he didnt know how he got to where he currently found himself and he didnt know where the hell he was. He was in the middle of a forest and freezing his ass off because of the snowy weather. He zipped up his jacket before lightly pinching his freezing cold cheek.

"Not a dream." He mumbled to himself as he started to trudge through the snow, he had to find a way out of this forest before he froze to death. He pulled his hood up as the weather got worse and the snow started to fall thicker and harder.

"So cold..." Kj shuddered and out of nowhere a gust of wind blew against him, blowing his hood off his head it was that strong. He turned to the side and closed his eyes from shock and once the wind calmed down he opened his eyes again.

He noticed he was in a clearing but the main thing that caught his eye was the lights a short distance away and smoke. He quickly trudged over and knocked on the door to a wooden cabin. He knocked once...then twice...then a third. When no one answered he pushed open the door and walked inside.

He stomped the snow off his boots and quickly took them off, he took off his jacket and hung it on the nearby coat rack which didnt seem to have any other coats or jackets on it. He looked around the cabin. "Hello?" He called out as he walked into its living room. "Is anyone home?"

There was no reply, just the crackle of the open fire. Kj sighed and found himself sat in the chair near the fire. He kicked his feet up on the little foot stool and sighed happily, the warmth quickly spreading through his body. It didnt take long for him to get warm enough to unzip his hoodie that he had on.

Kjs eyes started to slowly close as he drifted off to sleep, he smile to himself as sleep took over him completely. He was asleep for a few hours and jolted awake when he heard a childish giggle echo through the cabin.

He quickly got up from the chair and looked around, "whose there!?" He yelled into the empty cabin only to be answered by another giggle. He quickly headed to the kitchen that was attached to the living room and opened the drawers with the utensils and leant against the counter.

"I have a weapon! So you may aswell come out!" He yelled. It was silent except the wind howling outside. It was dark outside the cabin, pitch black outside. He looked at the door way to see only his boots and jacket, the snow he kicked off having melted.

He suddenly felt a cold bit of air being blown onto the back of his neck. He turned expecting to find a window open but he came face to face with a man, not much older then him, who was completely pale and looked as if he had been frozen.

"Boo!" He giggle and Kj instantly recoiled, the drawer being pushed closed by his body. "Aww did I scare you? I'm sorry." He was speaking in a sing song voice as he reached out and touched Kj's arm.

The man felt freezing cold to the touch and he even caused a bit of frost to form on Kj's hoodie. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to welcome you into my home. I dont exactly have a name but I'm a frost Sprite!"

Kj blinked. A Frost Sprite? This was real life not some stupid fantasy book, he must be dreaming. "Come sit back down." The Sprite grabbed Kj's hand, Kj finally feeling how cold The Sprite really was, he was so cold it burnt in a way. The Sprite led Kj back to the seat infront of the fire and sat him down.

"I'm thankful I kept it warm just in case any humans got lost. Here your feet must be tired." He lifted Kjs feet up and put them on the footstool. He took off the thick woolen socks and start rubbing Kj's feet. The cold burn of the Sprite's hands mixed with the warmth of the fire was kinda relaxing and Kj found himself sighing contently.
