rain ~hinata x reader~

walking away from the gym, rain pours down.

hinata called quits on studying today since he wanted to get more practice today.

the rain was completely soaking you, but you didn't mind all that much. you hadn't brought an umbrella with you, so you didn't really have a choice. 

although, you felt calm, only sometimes would you feel a spike of fear when there was really loud thunder.

"l/n!" you heard from behind you.

you looked, trying to see clearly from the rain. there, you saw hinata running full sprint at you. you noticed he hadn't brought his bike. you noted he does this alot, calling for you when you were walking home.

"what are you d-"

"come on! it's too dangerous, you have to come to my house!"

he takes your hand, dragging you in the direction of his house. you had almost fell from the amount of force he had. you also realized he didn't have the bandaid on his nose from yesterday.

"hinata i'm gonna fall!" you say, although a smile pricked at your lips.

"it's ok, i got you!" he looked back to you, seeing your playful smile. he smiled widely as well, although it ended up with him falling over his own feet. 

you had let go of his hand when he fell, which resulted in you laughing loudly at him as he was on the ground. 

"hinata-! are you ok-" you yelp as you fell as well. you hadn't realized the ground was this slippery. he laughed at you just like you laughed at him, loudly. "it's not funny!" you yell, smacking him. he was rolling on the ground holding his stomach. you had to keep blinking to not get rain soaked in your eyes.

you get up, dragging hinata up as well. you weren't far from his house, and you two decided to walk instead of run.

getting to the front door, you felt nervous, it felt a bit early to enter his house since you two had become friends just last week. though, he told you not to worry.

he opened the door, and you reluctantly went inside, finding his mom and supposedly little sister already inside.

"hi shoyo!!" you hear the child say, hearing hinata's first name being used for the first time, "who's this?" she had a friendly and cheery smile.

at the mention of you, hinata's mom turned to look at you.

"oh gosh, you guys are all wet!" you looked down at yourself, remembering your clothes were drenched. she quickly went to get some towels, while you and hinata stood next to eachother dripping with rain. you felt bad for coming into his house being drenched and just making a mess, yet there wasn't much you could do about it.

there was a silent moment before hinata continued to talk.

"natsu! this is l/n!" hinata exclaimed, loud enough for his mom to hear as well. he smiled widely, to show natsu his comfortable aura around you. his mom came back, two towels for each of you and wrapped them around your soaking bodies. natsu watched as your hair dripped, and your glassy eyes sparkling. she thought you were beautiful.

"hello!" hinata's mom said to you, smiling. 

"hi," you smiled back, shyness in your voice. 

"i'll make you guys hot chocolate, you're welcome to go wherever you like," she looked at you and smiled, so you returned the gesture.

"come on!" hinata grabbed your hands and brought you to his room, you had made eye contact with natsu and smiled, noticing her twiddling thumbs.

entering his room, it was surprisingly more clean than you thought. you gently sat on his bed and analyzed his room. you quickly got back up realizing you would probably get his bed wet because you were still drenched.

hinata unraveled the towel from him, and laid on his bed, getting his blankets and pillow wet. you went to the window to look at the rain. you realized it was a tuesday, and the last time it rained was also on a tuesday. it's been exactly a week since you've met hinata, and you were already in his house.

the door opened with hinata's mom holding mugs with hot chocolate and marshmallows on top. she handed them to both of you, with nastu at the door frame. she told both of you to enjoy it, and you both thanked her. nastu tugged at her mom's shirt as they both left the room.

you sat down in his chair that was a set with a desk. you continued to watch and listen to the rain as it got stronger and stronger. you looked at hinata who was almost passed out on his bed, his mug sitting on the floor. you took a sip, immediately yelping.

hinata shot his eyes open, sitting up straight, looking at you.

"be careful, it's hot," you say, holding your tongue against the roof of your mouth to relieve the burn.

he sighs and relaxed his shoulder, taking the mug and blowing inside of it, telling you to be careful.

"hey," you say, looking at hinata. he perks up, now looking at you. "lets play in the rain."

"play... in the rain?" his eyes hold confusion.

you nod, smiling. when he doesn't say anything, you get up and take his arm, dragging him out of his room.

"but the hot chocolate!" he says, trying to take a sip of it while you  drag him.

"it's fine! you can drink it while we're outside," you laugh, finding the door to go outside. 

"NATSU HELP,"

you laugh as natsu comes running out of her room.

"come on, lets play in the rain!" you smile at the young girl. 

she quickly giggles and pushes her brother out of the door, into the rain. you and natsu laugh as hinata yells and screams as the rain hits him.

"it's colder than it was before-" he shivers in his spot. you kept your hot chocolate under the porch so rain wouldn't get in it. 

you cup your hands to gather water, then throw it at hinata, making him squeal. natsu copies your moves, throwing water at hinata. he then does the same to you and natsu, and tries to run away.

you tell him to stop running because he'll fall, but he doesn't listen. 

natsu picks up a volleyball, and chucks it at hinata, hitting him square in the face, causing him to fall, like you had warned him.

you laugh, giving natsu a high five.

"that's not fair! i wasn't ready!" he says as he sits in the grass, pouting. but it doesn't take long for him to crack a smile watching you and natsu laugh.

you hadn't noticed his mom at the door, watching you guys with a soft smile on her face.
