~1 year later~

"shoyooo," you whine, slumping onto the said boy, which had grown a couple inches since a year ago. he was now taller than you.

"y/nnn," the taller boy supported you, moving his arm around you in an innocent manners.

"can i go to your house?" you asked, heavy eyes gleaming at the 2nd year boy.

your best friend looked at you, his worried eyes meeting your tired ones.

"don't feel good?" he asks, pulling you closer so you could lay your head on his shoulder.

you hum, admitting to not feeling good.

you walk with your eyes partly closed, head almost spinning. shoyo talks about a project he has to work on, and how he really doesn't want to do it.

"what subject?" you ask, wondering if you were good at the subject, you could maybe help him on his project.

"science,"

you hum and shake your head, "you could get kuroo for that,"

shoyo smiles, remembering the once 3rd year. his mood swifts as he thinks about you being a 3rd year. you're leaving next year, he'll have no one to walk home with. if he'd ever see a butterfly on his way home, he wouldn't dare not think of you. he wished that once he was a 3rd year, he'd try to attend the same college you'd be in. you'd thought about it as well, being a 3rd year. you thought of having to get a job soon, being drenched in homework, but worst of all not being able to have hinata to make the day more sunny. and suddenly both of your moods were rainy.

"i think natsu's home. she can keep you busy when i'm working on the project."

you wished it was sunny again, his mood. he was the sun, rain wasn't supposed to come along. it didn't fit him. it reminded you of a flash flood.

once you got in his house, you immediately flopped on his bed. your eyes automatically shut. shoyo went to his desk, getting his stuff out for the project. you felt bad for not seeing natsu, although she was sleeping as well, you wished you could've at least seen her and checked on her. it's been a natural thing to do now for you, see natsu and check on her. you were very fond of her.

"hey," you said, face squished in the pillow.

"hi," he said, pencil against paper.

"my parents aren't home for the weekend, i'm gonna stay here." you say, not giving him a choice to kick you out.

he smiles, although you couldn't see it. the rain was gone now, the sun was shining into his heart, like it should be.

~

"yup." shoyo said the next day once you woke up.

"yea what," you say, laying face up on the bed, miserably sniffling.

"you have a fever."

"dammit," you say, putting your hand on your hot forehead.

"dammit."

"shoyo-!" you shriek.

"what-" he says, looking at you instead of the thermometer.

"you're not allowed to say that," you tease, only knowing his innocent side.

"dammit."

"SHOYO," you immediately regretted yelling, burning your throat.

he laughs at you, "dumbass,"

"who are you and where is shoyo hinata."

"i'm in highschool! this is normal language!"

"you better watch your mouth mister,"

he looks at you, and sticks his tongue out. you lightly laugh, looking at the ceiling. you get up, throwing the blanket off of you.

"where are you going?" he asks.

"to my house, i shouldn't be here while i'm sick,"

he takes your arm, forcing you back on the bed. "no."

you look at him blankly. "yes."

you try to get up, only to be tackled on the bed. "nooooo!"

"shoyo-!" you laugh under him. his face in your shoulder.

"lets- we can go to the park!" he says, lifting his head to look at you. you notice his shiny gleaming eyes, and the thought of turning him down was impossible. although you plead against it.

"shoyo, i'm sick-"

"we won't run or anything-"

"thank god,"

"just walk around and look at the flowers."

you laugh, picturing him holding a pink flower.

you get up, pushing him off of you, and telling natsu to get her shoes on. shoyo tells his parents he was leaving with you and natsu.

walking outside, the bright sun soared in your eyes, hurting your eyes and head. you look over at shoyo, who wasn't exactly gleaming with sun, yet his smile was very shiny.

he stays still, and suddenly takes off. "catch me if you can!"

"hey!" natsu runs after him.

"you said we weren't gonna be running!" you yell, starting to jog.

you give up jogging after two seconds, looking at natsu as she trails her brother. shoyo turns around, facing natsu, sticking his tongue out. you find it ironic how he'd say such a word as dumbass.

he really was the sun, and although you loved rain, you started to have a liking towards the sun.

"that's where our love had truly started." you said, smiling as you sit in your chair, looking out the window.

"that was a really cute story!" your granddaughter gleamed with a cheeky smile.

"that's why you love the rain,"

you nod at your grandchildren.

"was grandpa famous?"

"he was famous!" you exclaimed.

"this was him right?" your youngest grandchild says, picking up a picture of you and your long gone beloved. you look at the picture, finding a familiar face in the back, nishinoya. you would remember that day forever, how you realized the team wasn't just your friends, it was your family at least.

"kids, it's bedtime-" your daughter had announced.

"aw nooo!"

"i wanna hear another story from grandma!"

"can we stay up just a little but longer?"

your grandchildren pester. you smile looking at your daughter, the mother of your grandchildren. while they bicker, you can only think,

even though he's gone, nothing will ever make you forget the sun of your life.
