Greenville Pandimic

After the Super siren we took our baths and put our girls to bed tho Erin turned out to habe a fever and she was coughing like a bark I was so scared that I run out my house and over to Jenna's who lived next door. "Jenna help me please Erin is sick" I yelled. An elder came by just then her name was Heaven and she was my favorite she always had a soft smile and kind eyes she looked spot like my mother with her greenish eyes and a choice bow like upper lip. I couldn't see her hair but I imagined it was long and black just like mine. You see all the elders ware their robes all of the time like the nuns in that movie with whoopie goldburg I can't remember the name of it but my mom used to watch it all the time. Anyways heaven came up behind me and touched my head " Grace darling hand me Erin we will take her for the night everything will be fine" she told me but I know everything would not be fine once a child got sick they never came back again I don't know why but they never came back I guess that's why the elders always talked about hector but maybe it was different with the guys. Who knows but none the less I clung to erin like some toy that was about to be taken away. Haven nodded her head " it will be fine" she promised me so I handed Erin over and headed back to my house Jenna came over a few minutes later to watch my girls after the lights out siren. Her girls where already sound asleep. So I walked out the house and waited by the fence for louie half hoping he wouldn't show up so I can go to bed.
I decided to walk back and forth against the fence Running my fingers over the little metal squares or diamonds not quite sure what shape it is. Anyways it was a good 10 min before Louie actually showed up and I was quite tired by this time " Sorry I'm late Frank made me brush my teeth and hair" he told me before popping down in the ground " your at least 20 min late Louie not a good first impression if I'm to be your wife one day that must change.... Louie what where your parents like?"  I asked him he got a sad look on his face and I sighed " your parents died too who went first?" I asked him. Loud frowned " my mom went first it wasn't to long ago actually we stayed in the house for the time after the government told us but my mom went out to get food and when she came back it happened so fast my Dad didn't even blink I think she had been hiding it from us " he finished it off with a sniff and I looked down at my hands " my mom went first then my dad. I can't really remember my dad but my mom looks like elder heaven " he told him " do you think we are immune or maybe we will get sick when we are older!" I said to him which resulted in me getting a shrug of the shoulders he landed up getting an eye roll and I looked up at the stars " your quite annoying you know that how do they expect us to marry so young when your so annoying" I asked him which resulted in me getting another shoulder shrug I stood up" well if your not gonna talk and just  sit there shrugging your shoulders like you have a twitch I'm going to bed " I said with a stomp of my foot. And turned around heading back to my house. " wait I have something for you it was my moms" he said pulling out a gold chain with a ring on it from his pocket " they let me keep it" he said handing me the necklace and ring threw the fence I smiled at the antique looking ring and thanked him before putting it on and hiding it under my dress before waving at the boy and walking away.
