chapter 6

                             The Dance

When I came down the stairs in the dress the elders gave me the boys where talking to their elder Hector he was tall with long blonde hair braided like a viking in those book his eyes where blue a deep dark blue like an ocean. He looked up and eyes went wide. I was wareing a long sky blue dress that dragged behind me as I took the stairs down to the landing. Luke turned around and headed to the stairs to esort me the dress sparked in the light like Dimonds. Louis waited with Luke ready to take my hand. As I got down the stairs Luke gave me a kiss on the cheek and handed me a crystal necklace on a silver chain it was beautiful and I kissed him on the lips this is what the elders wanted to see Luke put the necklace on me then Louis put the matching bracelet I smiled and kissed his cheek before turning to Luke who wrapped an arm around my waist he kissed my neck then whispers in my ear " if we where older I'm sure I'd want to take you back up stairs to show you how much I love you grace" he said and I blushed red like a strawberry.

It wouldn't be for a few more years that I realized what Luke ment by that statement. I looked up at Hector and he nodded taking us to the Dance. It was the formal of the year where we got to find out when our wedding would be I of course could care less as long as I always got to spend my life with Luke. He had his hair slicked back and was wareing a black tux he looked like a spy it was adorable. He had his arm around my waist and I didn't want him to let go. As we walked into the ballroom we where both in shock I turned to Louis to see his blank stare as we looked around the room the lights looked like little diamonds hanging from the ceiling the ceiling was black so it really looked like we where about to dance under the stars. Their was a table filled with the most delectable sweets you can imagine on one side of the room, and on the other side there was a table of food kids where already making plates of food on what looked like gold plates. We looked around some more it was like in those princess movies you wished you where in dancing with the prince. Maybe that's how the elders wanted us to feel at least for the night. The song that was playing was slow it was played by a violin soon I was pulled out of my thoughts by Luke taking charge and taking me to the Dance floor he wrapped his arms around me and soon we forgot the world around us. My head was on his chest as he was a tad bit taller then me. His hands wrapped around my waist one hand on the small of my back the other on my waist like he was ordering me to move. He kissed the top of my head thats when the chaos started.

There was teenagers in our camp older then the cut off they where taking some of the kids. Louis looked at Luke and we all started to run. One of the elders got shot in front of me and blood covered my dress of course I got grabbed by some black haired boy his eyes where green he smiled at me then looked to Luke " you have free will you can do as you please don't let the elders tell you anything else grace. Now run get out of here grace" the boy I remember his name was Daniel and he was supposed to be dead. Luke grabbed me out of my thoughts and the three of us ran again I looked back at Daniel who know looked at the elders something like fangs shown in his smile but that can't be right. I turned to Luke before seeing the blood all over the floor of the ball room the teenagers where killing the elders and soon the siran sounded I screamed it was loud my head pounding there's no such thing as vampires  or maybe the pandemic was a cover up for something else. I couldn't run any more I pulled Luke's hand so he would stop I couldn't run anymore my head was spinning and I landed up fainting hitting my head on a rock Luke yelled out at me trying to wake me up Louis was freaking out there was so much happening so fast
