The day's faded into weeks and weeks into months. The funeral had been hard, but Erin was at my side and I got through it. My home was warm and I was decorating for Christmas. Presents littered the couch and wrapping paper was strewn all over the floor.

I sat down for a moment and felt a strong pain in my back that quickly spread around my belly. My heart sped up and I struggled to calm my breathing. No one was here and the phone lines were down.

I panicked as I stood up and felt my water break.

"Oh god." I said out loud and nearly doubled over as another contraction hit me. This time I screamed and heard loud knocking on the door. "It's unlocked!" I yelled.

A man burst in and found me on the floor in the living room. He had emerald eyes and black hair. And he was really tall. I was scooped up quickly and he grabbed the bag I had packed by the door and carried me outside. A large blue and silver chevy Silverado sat in front of my house.

He put me very carefully in the passenger seat and ran to the driver seat and the truck roared away from the house.

"Who... Are you?" I asked before another contraction hit me.

"I'm rob. Erin called me to check on you. I'm her brother." He said and focused on the road. Thank heavens the hospital wasn't too far. "She's going to meet us at the hospital. Is there anyone you want there?"

"No." I said and grabbed the handle on the door. My breathing was ragged and tears streamed from my eyes. My son was going to be here soon.

Rob sped up and then stopped at the emergency door to the hospital. He jumped out of the truck and picked me up out of the passenger seat and ran us into the hospital.

"She's in labor." Rob said as he got to the front desk. The nurse instantly jumped up and grabbed a wheel chair. Rob almost seemed reluctant to put me down but he did and I was quickly wheeled to the back. "I'll be here after the baby is born, Camile."

I smiled at him then screamed as an even stronger contraction hit me.
