Hayley's perspective:
"hey it's Hayley right?" the tall, yet familiar stranger asked.
"urm yeh, yeh that's me." you smiled as you stood up, slightly wobbling due to the fact you'd had too much to drink. Riley looked up at you confused as to who this guy was but you sort of went along with it.
"I mean you might not remember me, but i'm Daniel we used to go to school together." he smiled as the memory of the boy shot straight back into your head. This was the Daniel who left school to become a singer, but you had been so caught up in everything it appeared your friends weren't the only ones who had changed.
"oh shit! yeh you're Daniel Seavey we used to have science class together. How's the music going?" you ask completely oblivious to the fact the guy standing in front of you was now in a famous boy band that travel the world for a living.
"oh yeh it's going really well actually," he laughs looking down at Riley who was now completely aware of who this tall blonde was.
A few minutes pass and you guys catch up on a lot, but you deliberately make sure the whole trauma of your parents wasn't brought up, just so things didn't become awkward.
"so can I just ask what you guys are doing out here, it's cold." he smiles shaking his head at the pair of you, who were clearly a little drunk.
"we're actually waiting for our Uber to take us home but it appears to be taking longer than we thought." you giggle, letting off a shiver as you spoke.
"I mean I could give you both a lift, I have to drive Jonah home and i've not had anything to drink." he says placing his hands into the pocket of his red hoodie and shrugging slightly.
You look at Riley who was nodding continuously at what Daniel had just said and so you agree.
As you all clamber into his car, you notice a brown haired boy wobble out of Eben's house and over to the car you were in. He swings open the door and falls into the passengers seat of Daniels Tesla.
"break any tables tonight?" Daniel asked with a smirk as Jonah shook his head clearly not amused by what had been said.
"It's a long story," the blue eyed boy says looking back at you and Riley.
"yeh and one they probably don't need to know." Jonah sighs, leaning his head on the window.
"yeh this is Jonah by the way." Daniel laughs, as the car turned off the drive way.
"hellooo guys." he replies trying to to seem as sober as possible.
A few more minutes pass and Daniel turns down the street to where your apartment was located, Riley had agreed to stay over, and so as you both wobbled out of the car, you thank Daniel for the lift and then the pair of you waved as the boy drove off in the opposite direction.
Making your way up the path to your front door, you can't help but think Daniel seemed more familiar than just an old school friend.
"what was his name again?" you ask stumbling up the steps to you apartment.
"his name was Daniel." Riley replies, slightly out of breath as you let yourselves in.
