Growing up without your parents around hurts more than you can imagine, and just as life really starts to go somewhere for Hayley her entire world comes tumbling back down on her.
"so you can't go?" the boy pouts looking at you from across his room.
"you know it's a really important day for Riley. She's literally starting a business I need to be there." you reply sharing a sad look back at him.
"but we've been planning this for months, you haven't met my parents properly and this means a lot to me." he sighs as you walk over to him.
"Daniel i'm sorry I wish I could go, but Riley needs me there today there will be other times I can meet your parents i'm sure." you say cupping his face in the palm of your hand.
"whatever I guess you're right there will be other times." the boy shrugs seeming a little more bothered the more you both spoke.
"ok well we still have the rest of today to do stuff!" you smile trying to lighten the mood.
"I've got to meet the guys, we have more recording to do." Daniel says looking back at you.
"ok well I can drive you?" you say starting to feel a little tense.
